Win your game and let the rest sort itself out. Don't worry bout what you can't control.

That's pretty true, so personally I hope it sorts out that we get the Falcons at home first, and then go to Vikings, because of the dome. I know Nick Foles is gonna suck sooner or later but do we want to play in 10 degree weather in Philly?

Fair point but for me round two is far more defining than the wildcard round. The Saints in the wildcard round would suck @$$, but it would suck less than going to Minnesota round two.

Only concern with sliding to the 4 seed is whether the Eagles remain the 1 seed. If they lose to the Cowboys somehow and slide to the 2 seed that changes everything. And that Eagles game will be over as well by the time the Rams play the whiners, so yeah the Rams will know.

And of course health is key, once again; I'd like to see Big Whit and some of those other vets get that time off.

I'd rather go to Minnesota in Round 2 than play the Saints in Round 1. Odds are that we have to eventually beat Minnesota in Minnesota.

I've got this all figured out...

a=Rams
b=Saints
c=Vikings
x=Super Bowl

X =Rams!

I hope the Seahawks somehow make it in so we can stomp them out one last time. 42-7 kind of says it all, but I want them to feel it down to their souls.

I wouldn't mind playing Philly or Carolina in the second rd.

I can make it to both of those games so I'll be in there!

I think the Rams O wouldnhang 35 or more on the Falcons.
If the Rams can't get the two because they lost to the Vikings then I'm sure NO can't get the three as the Rams beat them.
I am resting a bunch of guys next week if that's the case.
Donald, Brockers, Quinn, Ogletree, Barron, Tru, Joyner.
Whitworth, Saffold, Saffold, Gurley, Goff, Woods, Watkins.
That O line of Lucas/Williams/Blythe/Brown/Havenstein.....dont hold the ball Mannion.

Y'all worry too much.
Just beat everybody.

Sounds nice. But we did not beat the Vikings or Eagles when we had the chance.
That means they are very strong teams.

So IF we could choose our own path within the confines of seeding, I want Falcons at home, then go play in the dome at Minnesota. That would be my personal choice.

And Goff is a MUCH better QB now than he was early on

Week 17 playoff scenarios
Posted by Josh Alper on December 25, 2017

Week 16 of the 2017 season comes to an end with a pair of games on Christmas and both of them have implications for how the playoff teams will stack up in each conference.

The Steelers and Eagles both know they are in the playoffs and no teams can be eliminated from contention on Monday, but seeds will be impacted by the results. Here’s a look at all the playoff scenarios for Week 17 as announced by the NFL on Monday.

New England clinches the No. 1 seed in the AFC if the Steelers lose either of their remaining games or if they beat the Jets in Week 17. The Steelers would get homefield throughout the AFC playoffs with two wins and a Patriots loss.

If they should stumble on Monday, they can still clinch a bye in Week 17 with a win against the Browns or if the Jaguars lose to the Titans. If Jacksonville wins and Pittsburgh loses out, the Jags will be No. 2 and they can’t drop below the Chiefs into the No. 4 spot under any circumstances. There’s a bit more going on for the two Wild Card spots.

Ravens – In with a win or if both the Titans and Bills lose.

Titans – In with a win or if the Bills and Chargers also lose.

Chargers – In with a win, a Titans loss and either a Ravens win or a Bills loss.

Bills – In with a win and a Ravens loss OR with a win and losses by both the Chargers and Titans.

In the NFC, the Eagles are the No. 1 seed if they beat the Raiders on Monday night. They can also clinch it by beating the Cowboys in Week 17 or if the Vikings lose. The Vikings get it with a win and two Eagles losses.

The No. 2 seed would belong to Minnesota with a win over the Bears. If they, the Saints and Rams lose while the Panthers win, the Panthers would win the NFC South and take the No. 2 seed. The Rams are in there for tie-breaking purposes, but can’t earn a bye for themselves.

The Saints also can’t move up to No. 2, but they win the division with a win or a Panthers loss.

The final playoff spot comes down to the Falcons and Seahawks. It goes to Atlanta with a win or Seahawks loss while the Seahawks would take it with a win and a Falcons loss.

No, that just means they got lucky.
Beat everyone.

Beat everyone.
Trying to imagine perfect scenarios for the easiest path to a Super Bowl appearance, is useless imho. Beat the team in front of you and that is all it takes. All the teams are good in the tournament and all are dangerous, just as the Rams are one scary motherfreaker for them....Let's fear no evil and be the baddest motherfreakers in the valley!

We need to win and have the Falcons lose and the Shegulls win. I would love to wreck the fuck out of them another time at home, in the playoffs, where they are already doubting themselves against us, and it be the catalyst of a total collapse of the organization.

This Steelers win ensures Jacksonville will be the No.3 seed no matter what happens in their season finale against Tennessee. The Jags have nothing to play for except pride and being a spoiler for the Titans. We'll see if they sit starters Sunday.

Pittsburgh win gets the Steelers a first-round bye and Antonio Brown the extra week off that he needed.
