I feel confident enough about our chances now to get in to start thinking about who we might face in the wildcard round. As things stand right now we have moved up to the 3rd seed, which means we would play the 6th seed in the first round. Here's how it looks right now:

* 1st Lions (13-2)
- 2nd Eagles (12-3)
- 3rd Rams (9-6)
- 4th Bucs (8-6) <Sunday Night game vs Cowpokes>
- 5th Vikings (12-2) <Playing now vs Seahawks>
- 6th Packers (10-4) <Monday Night game vs Saints>
- 7th Commodes (10-5)

8th Seahawks (8-6) <Playing now vs Vikings>
9th Falcons (8-7)

Worst matchup for us of the lower half seeded teams would probably be the Packers.

We should have beaten them in week five. We’re a far better team now than we were then; I wouldn’t be scared of them at all.

The team I want to avoid is Minnesota, even though we have already beaten them this season.

Anyway, this thread is a bit presumptuous, as there’s no way Arizona and Seattle are just going to roll over for us in the final two games. We still have to TCB.

Is there a scenario we can clinch before our Seattle game?

We have the tiebreaker vs Seattle even with a loss to them in the final week.

So if Seattle loses today then if we beat Arizona we clinch.

Or if Seattle loses to Bears next week and loses today we clinch.

The playoffs are not a sure thing yet!

Having said that, with how many injuries Detroit has on defence, I think this Rams team has a very real shot of beating anyone in the NFC except Philly. We could beat Philly too. Any given Sunday. But style wise they are a brutal match-up for us, in addition to having the better roster "on paper". Exciting stuff given how this season looked early on. Minnesota and Green Bay both have great rosters and would see the Rams as underdogs but those match ups are hardly unwinnable. We already beat Minnesota. We should have been Green Bay as well (though they have morphed into a power run, run-first team behind Josh Jacobs... which might not be a good thing for us stylistically).

If the playoffs were today the Lions would get a bye. The Rams would play the Vikes:

Streams are not working good today. But the ESPN game cast shows a 39 yard TD to Jefferson. Vikings up by a field goal.

Not that it matters, but that is not accurate. Tampa has to win tonight to maintain the 3 seed.

Haha, you really think the Lions are gonna lose out? They would have won last week if it wasn't for their caveman hc.

Aim a little lower. The Rams just need to finish with the #3 seed. Very gettable if the Bucs lose a game. Then need the skins to beat the Eagles and they will get a home game in the second round.

Then it's all good. Lions or Vikings will be indoors. Perfect for the Rams.
