ESPN had a great stat. Of 48 seventh-rd pix in '13 (including compensatory picks) 47 either made team or practice squads or were IRd ...Moral of the story: Sam will make roster or practice-squad or IR unless he's awful. And Gregg Williams will make sure he has the best shot.

Read that earlier, Sam will be a Ram in one form or another this season.
 
I think he is most likely a practice squad talent but he could still prove useful there.
