They drafted 2 TE's before we drafted Hopkins and in most TE rankings their 2 guys were ranked way below him. I wonder what they didn't like about Hopkins?

Seriously, Hopkins is not a complete player. He's a project although DaSilva can't seem to understand that. He doesn't know how to block, but I'm sure he can. More troubling are his drops. He needs work in a lot of areas. He's on the perfect team as he can be groomed to play at a high level as they did with Everett. With Everett and Higbee in front of him, he can be used in ways that play to what he can do. IMO you can't take ratings without some caveats because after all, they are subjective evaluations by guys who have an agenda. Talking to scouts usually reveals the true value of a player.
Hopkins was thought of by scouts to be a 4th or 5th round pick because of the holes in his game. Normally 4th round guys are talents projected to be situational players as rookies as they acclimate, build up, and get coached up. That is exactly what Hopkins is.

I thought that Stidham had problems in the locker room as well. I'd wish the Cheatriots good luck, but I wouldn't be sincere.

Others beat me to it but 5 years? That'd be like giving John Wayne Gacy a year behind bars. I want to see them dwell in the cellar for eternity..... plus 5 years.
Gonna be honest, I have a bad feeling NE has the last laugh. They are basically the only NFL teams with nothing at QB. I guess Stidham could surprise us, but if he doesn't, that team will be bad. And that might put them in position to land their next franchise QB. God help us if it's Trevor Lawrence. The one saving grace might be Belichick. He actually still has talent on that defense. His defensive brilliance might win them enough games to take them out of the running. Then again, there are a handful of guys who look like good prospects in that class (Lawrence, Justin Fields, Brock Purdy, Tanner Morgan, etc).
Devin Asiasi is better than Brycen Hopkins. Both of the TEs the Patriots drafted are good blockers. Hopkins is not. Frankly, it's a little shocking that the kid of a Pro Bowl NFL OL is a shitty blocker at TE. LOL.
The Cheaters could draft blow up dolls. Does it matter. They will still Video tape their way to 10 wins.
