Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports that the Patriots also worked out former Rams RB Isaiah Pead and TE Nick Kasa.

This comes after the news that New England brought in former Giants WR Hakeem Nicks for a workout today.

Pead, 25, is a former second-round pick of the Rams back in 2012. He was in the final year of his four-year, $4.038 million rookie contract when St. Louis waived him a few weeks ago.

This is the first reported interest in Pead since he became available. However, the Patriots do a good job of keeping notes on all available free agents, so it’s hard to say they’re serious about signing either player.

This season, Pead has been active for two games and ran for three yards on two carries (1.5 YPC) and lost a fumble. He has also totaled 63 kick return yards.

It's happening...!

Just you wait, Isaiah Pead, Super Bowl 50 MVP.

Nah, just kidding, although i would be surprised if he made the Patriots roster given his ball security issues.

Belichick doesn't do fumbles I thought? He's not going to like Pead.
