Bout time. And he wasn't the guy who deserved it most either.
 
I think the writing was on the wall for a while now. With Cam's struggles and the lack of wins for a new owner this was bound to happen. I think Cam is gone in the off season too.

yeah - it will be a rebuild in Carolina. Cam is as good as gone - I wonder if he will ever be a force in the league again.

I thought Cam had a better chance of lasting since he is just so big but he never got the protection that other QBs get - even in the pocket.
 
He was coach of the year in 2013 and 201

This is going to make it hard for them to attract some talent knowing the rope is that short.

@Mojo Ram Newton will be playing for the Bears next year........I just have that feeling.
 
Rivera is a good not great DC. I wouldn't want him here. I'd rather have John Pagano who taught both Wade and Rivera the hybrid 3-4 scheme that Wade has been using since he was in San Diego. Rivera's roots are as a 4-3 DC and that's where he's most comfortable. The 3-4 hybrid requires a more creative defensive mind. The 4-3 is about execution and one size fits all.

That's not a bad take, Les. I just wonder in Chicago if they're truly ready to move on from their QB... off-season can play tricks on the minds of GMs
 
If he can’t land another HC gig, it would be interesting to hire him as a DC. Although I would prefer someone with a fresh mindset in the mold of Robert Saleh to succeed Wade “ok boomer” Phillips; I like Phillips but I think he’s maxed out most of what he’s capable of

I was thinking Newton to Tennessee...Although right now, Ryan Timothy Tannehill is playing well.
