No way there is money left for NRC if we want to keep Donald happy, Watkins, Quinn, and Tru...just can't do it all...
Quinn gone.
Austin gone.
That frees up $14M.
Watkins vs Tru or Joyner?
Easy choice for me.
Watkins is the third priority there.

Watkins is a lock with the franchise tag, and should be.

Defense was arguably weaker than offense...why the Tru and Joyner love? Over a proven commodity as Watkins? Just curious?
Tru is certainly proven. One of the better corners in football.
Joyner was one of the best players on the team. Clearly a play maker.
Watkins has been ehhh with the Rams and overall in his career in my opinion.
I like Watkins but if I have to choose between a guy who disappears for entire games at times and guys that continually make plays, especially for big money, easy choice.

I know Watkins didn't "live up to the hype"....

Curious....biggest game of the year, what exactly did Joyner and Tru...do?

I'd cut/trade Barron as well and make that $21.mil in additional CAP, although I would re-sign Watkins & Joyner while letting TruJo walk. Also an easy choice for me. jmo.

I get ya.
I love these talks, but, I would not cut Barron. At least not with what the Rams have behind him now, that could change of course.

B. It's not even a question in my mind. Cornerback is a deep class in the draft, and we have depth at wide receiver. I'd rather not add safety to the mix, and Joyner is worth it.

Too me it is C, we are thinner at CB especially with not knowing how long and if Webster can return from his injury. Of course, I hope all three of these guys return to the Rams.

D

Sign FS Cody Davis to replace LJ
Draft a safety
Sign NR-C to be the starting Nickle Corner
Sign CB Troy Hill
Draft a CB with the first or 3rd rd draft selections.
Draft another CB with one of the six last day draft selections

Go with young seven corners & safeties already under contract Kevin Peterson. Dom Hatfield, Taurean Nixon & Marcus Sayles, Isaiah Johnson, Blake Countess & Marqui Christian.

Re-Sign the man. Love how people want to stay; where as before people hoped to get traded.

Cody Davis doesn’t even get close to replacing Joyner. That drop off is huge.

That secondary would get torched.

In this scenario, you gotta go with C

THAT'S 3 years for 34.5m ....or just about the price of the last 2 years. You pounce on that. But if you change those numbers much, the answer most likely is different.
