Not sure where you can even come close to thinking if Bradford stayed we would make the playoff. . There are equal chances that he

Gets injured again
Checks is down into oblivion.
We go 8-8

I mean anything can happen you can't be so sure playoff with Bradford. We traded for the future instead of mortgaging our future on an oft injured qb.

Ok in hindsite again. I actually liked the trade at the time,& understand about the 2nd rd draft pick.San Bradford was a lame duck QB. He was going to be playing for a new contract. The Rams also had Tru & JJ going into free agency.

My point is San Bradford that much better than Nick Foles & showed his toughness. He did struggle early in Philly though. I'm not a big Bradford fan, & love The Rams future with Jared Goff.
--The beauty of Jared Goff is his rookie salary cap v's say Sam Brafords forever $85 million contract. $50 million guaranteed .

Sam Bradford never won more than 7 games in St Louis, and took over a team that had won 10 games in each of its 2 previous seasons and proceeded to win, 7 games.
Sam may have played better than Foles did at his worst but I wouldn't assume that Bradford would have played as well as Foles did against Seattle or Arizona either
Both guys were disappointments and both teams traded the farm to replace them

Will see what Sam Bradford looks like after this season. I'm sure better than Foles.--You make valid points ,but what about Washington ? There were a lot of close games last year that The Rams should have won. Case Keenan beat Seattle against the 12th man.The Rams beat a beaten up Hawk team. It wasn't until just before mid-season that they took off.

So let me get this straight, Nick Foles doesn't get credit for beating Seattle with over 300 yards of offense, 2 tds and the offense scored 27 points but Case Keenum "beat" Seattle with just over 100 yards and the offense scored 16?
That's classic

How is that ?!Ends up being a bad trade. If Sam Bradford was on The Rams last season they make the playoffs.
Ahh, the ol' "if Bradford" lament. I guess Sam has earned it though....ya know...with all of those playoff appearances and clutch play.

Playing at Seattle v's St. Louis is a huge difference. Nick Foles played well, but Seattle had half there defense missing & it was game one. I think they were 1-3 to start the season ?? I pulling that out my butt ,but they were below .500 early.
Yeah- Foles threw a perfect pass to Kedricks that should have one the game against Pitt. Steelers.

Foles played well, Keenum wasn't a factor. Im as big a Keenum fan as there is on this site, but giving him credit for that win is crazy. The defense and Gurley won it. Case didn't lose it for us but that's a different issue
In the end, Im glad things worked out the way it did because had the Rams won another game or two, they still wouldn't have made the playoffs and we wouldn't have been able to trade up for Goff.

Sure you can think what you want. I know Phiily moved up to get Carson ,but they still signed Bradford for how much at the end of the year ? Did he even into the open market ?? Where is Nick Foles & what was his QB rating ??

There is no debate; Bradford > Foles

I think Sam will play similarly to how he finished last year. He missed a lot of football going into the season.

But the trade was good for the Rams. That 2nd was THE REASON we were able to get Goff. So... Sam might not have been a total wasted pick.

See that is the beauty of Case Keenan. He never lost a game for The Rams last year.Always gave them a chance to win.
The Baltimore game on the concusion Foles comes in & The Rams win.
Bradford is a very accurate passer. He can move a team up and down the field.
-- The Rams schedule last season was about as easy as the NFL gets.

Plus Foles didn't have Gurley in that game.

Well, don't rule out KC -- Andy Reid drafted him, and Chase Daniel followed Doug Pederson to Philadelphia.

Of course you know what that means -- he'll sign with the Falcons.

Foles is / was a good guy who tried his best. It just didn't work out. I'm still in shock he failed so miserably. Good that the Rams are moving on and I wish Foles success in the future. Call me crazy, but I still think he could be an NFL QB in the right situation / system.

Best of luck to Nick and family. Unless he goes to the whiners, in which case I want to see snot bubbles..

Foles gave us a nail biting win against Seattle in the Edward Jones' Dome for the last time ever with dozens of ROD brothers in attendance and in honor of Thordaddy. For that, I will be forever grateful.

Best.

Game.

Ever.

Godspeed Foles, get you some!

Foles is a good man.

I wish him well

Hopefully it was just the system and he can play well somewhere else

Thought I'd bump this beauty from the past. Some interesting comments from you guys...

There is no debate; Bradford > Foles

Nah, there is plenty of room for debate.

You can make a case that Foles is a better QB, and you can make a case Bradford is.

Now Keenum...........there is your Bradford.
