Just observational.
It does seem to happen a lot over the last few years.
It certainly has nothing to do with arm strength, but, it is sort of a thing.

Well it’s being able to give the WR a chance to make a play when a CB is beat. Throwing it up puts pressure on the CB. Helps get the ball out early & has a chance to draw a Flag(PI).

To me that’s a timing thing. When there was no plans to have Tutu be heavily involved, the reps just aren’t really there. Because of that, it’s not going to look good in games. Tutu has a huge speed advantage and staff is used to throwing to 4.5 guys. It’s just different

I agree.
Its not a skill thing for sure.
Timing is probably the main issue.

It makes me sad to say, but upgrading from Cooper Kupp to Davante Adams appears to be a pretty big leap.
To me Kupp is a great player (obviously) and a give all, tough as nails high character guy.
I think that extended 2021 record setting season took a toll on his body. The guy plays with such high effort. He fights to stay up and takes extra hits when the play is over. A trait he shares with Puka.
I think he can certainly still be a productive receiver if his body will cooperate.
But, drawing the salary he was and not breaking 1,000 yards was not sustainable.
Adams is a great match for the Rams O, a true X receiver.
I hope the Rams get a couple of years out of the aging Adams.....he can still ball and really creates match up problems.

2. Davante Adams and Xavier Smith woke up ready to dominate

Xavier Smith is FAR more than a punt returner. In fact in college, I didn't see any highlights from him returning punts. Just at WR, where he was amazing.

X is explosive on offense. Hope he gets a chance to stick..even if its on the practice squad. He has competition for return man, so hes going to need to be big in the preseason games

I think X Smith is going to make the team, sounds like he really improved this offseason.
