Trade Fowler for a DE, trade Brockers for a draft pick.
Bring Marquis Copeland up from the practice squad. jmo.

That still leaves fifty-five roster slots, the last time I checked. No, I think that two players are going to be traded for picks.

So you believe that Noteboom and Allen's play is acceptable at this time?
Ok

I dont. They are both playing poorly. Period
Did I say that anywhere? No I'm not going to write them off yet though, they're young and learning. Players aren't always perfect from their first snap some take time to develop.

His base for this year was only $3.6M. So he only has about $2M left on that. So they still save 3.6M for this year that can be rolled into next year.

They are listed, before today, of having $37M of cap room next yr. Roll in the Peters savings of $3M, that leaves them with about $27M of cap room since Ramsey's option is for $13M next yr. Of course I think they make the move to extend him before the season is over.

What this likely means is that ine or both of Weddle/ Matthews will not be back. Littleton may also have to go. So now it would be great time see if Obo can supplant Fowler.

Remember, they have Kupp and Johnson coming up in a yr as well.

Nah. Talib is likely gone. He's been injured two years in a row and is not signed past this year. But this year we have $9M in Peters and $8M in Talib which is likely all or mostly going to go to Ramsey next year. And that doesn't include Brockers maybe not coming back.

We also might lose Fowler, but I hope not. That duo of Fowler and Matthews was starting to get going, but they struggled because we were in so much damned zone...

That I agree with.

Fifty four atm so another move is likely even if it's just to cut somebody.

I don’t get why ppl keep saying 2 1sts is too much. When you draft, you pray for a talent of Ramsey’s level and the chances of getting that (especially later in the 1st) aren’t very high. He’s what you hope a 1st round pick turns into but hardly ever does

You sure it's fifty-four? We traded for Ramsey, Corbett, and Young, while giving up Peters. By my count, that's fifty-five.

Cut Demby & Smart & Reeder

That's another option, true. Smart hasn't done much, and with Corbett in the fold, maybe Demby is expendable. Reeder is still a solid special teams player, so I don't want to cut him just yet, but it's definitely a possibility.

When will we ever have another first round pick...?
I don't care. 1st round pick is 50 50 at best. Ramsey is 100% known good commodity. Take one guy out of every play. Done. Now plan for the rest.

Doubtful Demby is picked up on waivers, so he can always go to the practice squad.

I disagree with all those that think we're gonna dismantle in the off-season.

I don't think we lose Cooks or Littleton. Talib isn't signed next year, anyway. He was known to be a 2 year stint and it's close to being over (although the idea of a refreshed Talib and Ramsey manning up toward the end of the season will be something to behold...). I don't really care about Hager because Natrez Patrick is a damned BEAST at ILB and will erase all this Hager/Reeder bad taste. Brockers is an unfortunate casualty, but he's not worth $10M per, at least not anymore.

I dunno that Christian or Blythe are super high priorities one way or another and I think Thomas will be prioritized because unless we pry away multiple veteran OL including an LT (I have serious doubts Noteboom will be ready for next season with both ACL and MCL surgeries).

I'm HOPING we keep Fowler long term as Matthews is not a long term answer and several of his sacks actually came from Fowler's pressure.

Terrible short sighted move. Rams going into next year will need to rebuild the entire O-line. They’re going to need to address the D line when Brockers goes. Their linebacking core has two UFA. Rams now have significantly less cap space and draft capital. He’s not putting us over the top this year. The Rams cannot block anyone
