I saw this article while looking at another. I have to say that unless the St Louis Board of Aldermen calls a special session, I can't see how St Louis gets it done before the deadlines they've established.
This was sent to me by @SuperMan28 It appears that the deadlines imposed by the NFL owner meetings may push the St Louis BoA to pick up the pace. This should be encouraging for those in the Lou.
More info on the funding issue in MO sent in by @ChrisW Seems the city/state is trying to sweeten the pot and get something out of committee before the deadlines passed this week.
Not sure if this means anything for the overall viability of the Carson project but it seems to be new info. This article was sent to me by @RhodyRams - thanks Rhody.
This was sent to me by @DenverRam . It indicates that though other NFL owners sounded impressed by the Kroenke letter, the Bolts and Raiduhs were less than impressed. Not sure if that should be surprising or not.
This was sent to me by @ChrisW I'm not sure if this is the final bill the BoA will be voting on but it sounds like they will get a chance to pass it before the end of the current session. Stay tuned.
The BoA Ways and Means has passed the financing bill out of committee. It may have an "initial vote" by the full board tomorrow. I'm not sure what "initial vote" means but here you go.
This isn't an article but is a letter regarding what Pittsburgh did when facing a similar situation. Interesting in that it really does appear to mirror St Louis in several ways.
A couple articles on the Robert Iger relationship and position with the Carson project sent to me by @rams2050 and @DenverRam . Interesting reads. Check them out.
I have been curious about the Maryland Heights properties and whether Stan might be looking at it as a potential stadium site and larger development. Apparently one of his former partners is suing over his involvement in the property. Stay tuned on this one. Not saying it will go anywhere but ..... Thanks to @RamzFanz for bringing this article to my attention so I could post it.
Here is another article about Iger's involvement with the Carson project. I have to admit that when I saw in an earlier article that Richardson had essentially brokered the deal to get Iger involved, I thought it sounded like a pretty big blunder and one that could come back to bite the LA Committee. With the talk of Kroenke's letter potentially resulting in a lawsuit and now this revelation, I am guessing there will be a fair bit of litigation no matter which way this one goes. Thanks to @OldSchool for forwarding this article to me.
