Now that we're 4-4 it would not surprise me if the Rams went after Lattimore.

Run defense today was impressive. MacDonald tried hard to get that run going on us.

Walker was 25 for 83 (3.3ypc)
Charbonnet was 2 for 8 (4ypc)
Geno was 6 for 16 (2.7ypc)

That's some tough running right there. Rams defense did a great job today. Just gotta keep working on that back end.

Very optimistic about this defense. I think it can be top 10 by the end of the season, assuming all the young guys improve. Durant looked great filling in for Williams. Fiske and Verse both looked very good for their first NFL game, in that atmosphere, against perhaps the best offensive line the NFL. Tre White looks to still have it. Let's hope he can stay healthy. I liked what I saw from Shula. A lot. Let's see what he does when offenses get tape on his schemes. The play of the LBs really is a compliment to him. It was not perfect but it was very encouraging.
The front 7 is maturing better than I ever hoped, forget top 10, this defense would easily be top 5 and maybe even better if the back-end was not holding it back. Tre White regressed which hurt, but our secondary is getting absolutely shredded every game. I'd love to see another Jalen Ramsey trade if there is one out there to be had - give up some prime picks, but for an elite top-tier CB in his prime that will have several good years left. This secondary is NOT it.

The DB breakdowns are players being out of position typically. That is correctable with time. Lots of youngsters back there.

Few fun facts about the defense this year, Kamren Kichens and Jaylen McCollough are now #8, #9 on the Rams all time list of INT's per game. Kam Kichens has set a new franchise record for Int TD (103-yd). McCollough after his pick tonight, will be tied at #3 in the NFL so far this year for interceptions. Small steps forward and just something that shows this young defense is growing

I per usual was wrong and impatient.

Shula is really growing into a damn good DC with a young group.

He’s definitely out performing with this group. Let’s be honest, the secondary is bad and I don’t trust the LBs.

These guys are gonna be fucking monsters. Verse and Fiske are running way with the most pressures for rookies and they are still young and green and learning the ropes.

I miss Donald and the the problems he presented to a D, but I really like the way the post AD defense is developing. With AD, you always knew who you were going to have to double team. Now it's becoming a harder choice to make, because while we don't have anyone that can get after the passer like AD, we have more guys that can do it than we did in his last couple years here.
I would also like to point out that the top DT taken in the last draft, Byron Murphy II, was in this game as well and was overshadowed by how dominant Fiske played. Him and Verse took a little time to get settled like early last season for FSU but when they started to pick it up they were unstoppable and only got better as the season went on. Now we're seeing the continuation of their development in the pros, and it's exactly what McSnead were saying would happen right after the draft.

Everyone who claimed we had a bad draft because we traded up to get Fiske can get bent.

I do not want the Rams to go after anyone. Run what you brung.
As we can now see clearly, the Rams rooks are making a impact.
Just imagine 3 drafts in a row (have 2) with multiple impactful rookies.
Can you say multi year Super Bowl run with Stafford truly wanting to stay around for it until he is 40+ !
