I swear I love this forum..and I love all Rams fans and consider you all to be family of sorts..

But I find it absolutely hilarious that people are actually against acquiring literally one of the greatest EDGE Rushers of all time (still in his prime mind you) while having to give up a 1st rounder that would have been in the 30’s and a young (and promising) EDGE rusher who has limited moves rushing to the QB and a SERIOUS tackling problem lmao..

I love Verse as well but it’s clear some of you needed to pump the brakes on him..nothing about him screams ‘generational’ haha..but that’s exactly what we do have now in this trade. I’d make the argument that we KEPT our best EDGE rusher in this trade too which is a win.

Just a little fun (not so fun) fact here. Since the Rams took Aaron Donald in the 1st Round in 2014, they've selected 3 players in the 1st Round since who havent lasted more than 5 years with the team.

The Aaron Donald "curse?"

2015- Todd Gurley
2016- Jared Goff
2024- Jared Verse

Ty Simpson beware? LOL

Who knows Simpson and a 1st or 1sts for Burrow in 2-3 years?

Look at Garretts career stats. I think Verse will grow into a player whos just as good. Last year was an anomaly for Garrett and is 30 yrs old. I dont think this moves the needle for us winning a SB and shortens the longevity of what could be a very dominant line.
Respectfully, I think are you wrong.

Verse is good, he is no Myles Garrett.

At least the Rams Org know what his cost is. 9 NFL season with the Browns is to have taken its toll on his body but he brings far more heat than Verse has or will ever.

Last month I posted & suggested that Verse would be more productive moving inside a few feet. I now guess the Rams felt the same. Verse will never give you what MG did for Browns last season with 23 sacks & 33 hits.

It was posted the Rams had over $25 million of cap space MG hit this season is $23,874,000 verses Jared Verse's $4,127,549

Myles Garrett signed a four year, $160 million contract extension with the Browns. $123.596 million is guaranteed of which $88.8 million is fully guaranteed at signing including a $21.54 million signing bonus. Garrett's 2025 and 2026 base salaries are fully guaranteed as is $29.5 million of his 2027 salary. Garrett has $1 million in annual workout bonuses that are guaranteed in the first three years of the contract as well as $1 million in per game roster bonuses that are fully guaranteed in the first three years of the contract. If on the roster on the 3rd day of the 2026 league year the remainder of his 2027 salary is fully guaranteed. On the 3rd day of the 2027 league year Garrett will earn a full guarantee on his 2028 base salary. If on the roster on the 3rd day of the 2028 league year, $800,000 of his 2029 salary is fully guaranteed. There are non guaranteed workout bonuses and per game bonuses in the final three years of the contract. The Browns have the right to exercise options in March of 2026, 2027, and 2028. These options are already reflected in the cap charges. Garrett has a no trade clause as part of his contract.

Yeah, #95 has to change hands
Unless Myles wants to mark the 2nd phase of his career with something different. Maybe one of those douchey single numbers that players go ga-ga for now. Hope not. 95 to Garrett, something else for Poona. 20 grand to Ford ought to cover it.
