Let the whole team go and sign UDFAs. That'll fix it.
Given the Rams cap situation, did you really expect this not to happen?

Everett, Hill and Reynolds are likely gone too. I am glad they held on to Williams (expected) and Floyd (not expected).

I am not trying to upset you but you may want to prepare for Austin Blythe to be re-signed.

Fox played 40% of snaps and brockers 60%. Guess DL is now another hole to fill. Not necessarilyna starter but depth

I am not trying to be overly negative; and I would love to be wrong about the Rams current limitations under the cap.

The way I look at it is they needed to drop well over $30M just to get to the cap limit. That included $4.8M to cover the Darious Williams tender offer.

That was just to get down to the $182.5M cap that is $16M less than last year. Factor in more than $30M of dead-$.

Even the Brockers move. While it created $6.2M of cap space, it also increased the Rams’ dead-$ by an additional $3M

Furthermore, they will need additional cap space to cover Floyd’s deal once it is signed (good news is his 2021 cap hit is only $5.5M) and the draft class (also not needed until the rookies are signed).

The Rams will add players, including free agents, but I just don’t see them out-bidding teams or making a significant signing.

I have a ton of experience being wrong about many things ... including the Rams. Would be thrilled to be wrong here.

We have four interesting former UDFAs: Eric Banks (who made the opening roster with Robinson out), Marquise Copeland (who has lasted on the practice squad for two seasons) Michael Hoecht, and Jonah Williams (intriguing options out of small schools). This is a very weak defensive line class, and aside from another UDFA or two, I’d let our guys compete,

Opinions are great, let me off a different one :

Carlos Basham Jr with our 2'nd round pick ...

I believe the Austin Blythe groundswell to be due to inflated PFF grades. What he does is lose control of his blocker on a routine basis. Which creates potential for big plays for the defense or eliminating what would otherwise be a big play by another player. Even late in the year when our run game was rolling he was affecting outside zone runs by not sealing his man inside, talking detail blocks where you just get between him and the outside zone.

There is NO WAY that someone like McVay will overlook that. No way. Not when his standards jettison other guys who were good but not great. And yes this means that they will do just that lol. But I will be very surprised.

Would much rather have an offensive lineman with that pick, such as one of the top four centers or an offensive tackle like Carman or Radunz.

Radunz & Walker Little both appear to be slipping into the 3'rd round ...
