I wouldn’t call him a reporter, I’d call him a bullshitter.

Semi-informed hot takes… writes some columns… that kind of stuff.

Might talk to contacts around the league.. for more “perspectives”…. But he’s not on the ground… talking to people.. building relationships & getting deep into his subject. His coin is breaking rumors and that kind of shit.

That’s not a reporter and there is a difference.
To me he's nothing more than a well refined, smooth talking Skip Bayless

Gulp. It’s Morris. Get ready for it.
That would be a major mistake and the Rams would be looking for a new Head Coach in two years. Look at New Orleans & Tampa and you see how the Rams will end up with Morris. Hopefully, somebody steps in and realizes hiring a HC that has a losing record as a Head Coach is not a recipe for success.

Would be hilarious if Morris and the other coach get hired away and we get left with nothing.
A team can't be held hostage this time of year by their coach.

Actually it would be better if Morris gets hired as HC by another team.

I thought it was Tampa, and a short stint as an interim coach for the Falcons, where Morris exhibited his HC abilities.

With Frank Reich out there I don't see how Morris would be given serious consideration.

Andy Reid has long wondered why his Asst HC, Dave Toubs, and KC's long time ST coord, has not gotten a shot as a HC.

I don't even want Morris back as DC, much less HC.

Available experienced head coaches, who've coached in the last 10 years and have a winning record (& age....if that matters):

Matt Nagy (44)
Dan Quinn (52)
Bill O'Brien (53)
Anthony Lynn (54)
Jason Garrett (56)
Jim Harbaugh (59)
Asshole Face (59)
Frank Reich (61)

Gary Kubiak (61)
Marvin Lewis (64)
Mike Zimmer (66)
John Fox (67)
Jim Caldwell (67)
Bruce Arians (70)
Tom Coughlin (76)

Red = highly touted canidates?

Your personal opinion of him doesn't change what he does. Your dislike for his comments doesn't change what he does. He hates the Rams with a passion but that doesn't change what he does.

I called it half way through the year :D McVay will step aside and be replaced by Morris and this board will melt down on a daily basis.

Even though this is Florio it may be correct at least in part.

Imo the Rams ARE facing a serious rebuild. No idea how McVay reacts to that, but it means that whoever will be the coach has a lot to come to grips with and the sooner the better.
That's been my suspicion too. I'd like to be wrong about that - extremely so.

I just figured coming into this season that McVay only had 3 (maybe 4) seasons left before he would start a family and make bank working half his current hours (probably for a decade) . If he thinks the SB window is almost closed, then he'd be on his way out before it reopens. In that case, maybe the time to leave is now.

I personally don't think he's solely leaving because of the "Superbowl window closing" but if he is then that is definitely weak as hell.

What was Demoff suppose to say? That the Rams are "unprepared" should McVay resign?

Also, never heard of Albert Breer before.

Has his crystal ball proven clearer that the other carnival fortune tellers out there?

I'd have such a hard time watching a Raheem Morris coached team. Just such a hard time.

Sounds like an organization that was recently the top organization in THE NFL is becoming an absolute shit show.

OL is not in 'shambles'. It was overwhelmed by injury. To the extent it requires re-working, more than one team in the league has shown it's possible to retool a line in just one season.
Took the words right out of my mouth. I mean no doubt the Rams have lots of issues, but when we get the OL healthy again I don't think they will be one of them.

Why? Assuming his plan all along was to coach two more seasons, why go through a tear down/rebuild if you can't see yourself getting back to the promised land?

Maybe he knows that he'd be a short-timer without the burn-the-candle-at-both-ends drive that took him this far, or worse, in a very unhealthy place working ridiculously long hours to just to hold back the erosion of his legacy.

I'm just guessing he's wired to try to coach and build a team to win SB's, and if you remove that possibility he knows that his motivation will suffer and the losses will feel a lot worse than the wins feel good.

I have a question for my Rams brethren: what is it that Demoff and Snead see in Morris?
I don't get it, what am I missing here?
Thanks for your answers..

If I had to guess, and I am just guessing;

1. Experience
2. Players respect him
