I just didn't see very much pressure on Donald... Seems like he had a lot of time to throw.... But Donald looked like a beast in the playoffs so hats off to him.

But we should have won that game.... A big ST mistake and the offense just not taking care of business in the redzone hurt.

Friendly suggestion from fellow ROD regular. By all means express your opinion in your takes but refrain from unnecessarily repeating yourself over and over. I think you will get a warmer response from fellow posters if you do. Go Rams!!

Well if they quote my same posts "over and over".... they will get the same response "over and over."

It's a football forum.... I don't need be cradled or be agreed with..... I don't call people names, and I don't think peoples takes on what the Rams do, where they go and how they go about it is a bad thing.

I dunno man.... how many repetitive ST threads we had to endure.... countless...

I was hoping the Rams were going to keep their 27th pick and use it as a piece to trade up for the #1 pick and get a QB, ya a long shot, but when the Rams signed the second KC DB, the thought of losing that 27th pick made sense. I was surprised the Rams FO opened the wallet that much for the two KC DB's.... Especially when the Rams at the beginning of last season didn't spend that much on the whole defense and ST's combined. But I'm glad they went the FA route for defense, because the impact needed to be immediate, and with Stafford getting towards the end of his career, immediate returns is definitely the operative word especially with the 2 year window the Rams have with Stafford in getting another trophy.

So the hope is now:

  • Stud LB great in coverage in FA.
  • Stud WR 13th pick.
  • And find a suitable back up for Stafford if Garropolo bails.
Agree - there’s other directions they could go as well.

I’m thinking a STUD DT ? Maybe even trading back ? The Rams need to probably go WR & they know they can get one of the players they want at WR.
The CB’s were really risky & having that duo will only make the DB’s that much better.

Forbes still has upside as well.

Never understood this QB thing.Really not a FAN of Rookie QB’s. —We’ll see what happens with Jimmy G ?

Truth about Jimmy G is he is only 34 & Mcvay might want him as his starter in 2027.

Meaning he signs with The Rams again he can become a starter in a offense (team) he is comfortable with.

IMO - he is way better than a Phillip River at 43. Then again better than an Aaron Rogers at present as examples.Plus giving The Rams time to find a QB of the future & compete.

Yeah - special teams was an issue. The Rams addressed it,but Mcvay gave them all the best chances to fix it mid-season.
We saw the results, but to think
it didn’t become a priority & it really wasn’t fixed ?

Ethan Evans & his short punt for a TD was season changing for both The Rams & the superbowl winners.

It’s all history, but you should be able to see the direction The Rams are trying to go & build from.

As Merlin will say. There is a lot The Rams can resend from.I’m the ONE saying The Rams are an ascending TEAM !! They try to BUILD from ONE season to the next. I can get deeper into it,but that is the basics of it.Nuild from 2025. Know your strengths, improve from your WEAKNESSES, and build depth of players from within.

I'm good with any defense upgrade as long as it done through FA. As for Forbes, he was pretty lost at the beginning of last season, and it was tough to watch, but he started get his footing a little bit about halfway through the season. In spite of last seasons short comings he seems to be a team guy and I can see him working hard through the preseason to round himself out a little more.

As for rookies.... rookie anything worries me but Puka proved to all of us some rookies get it from the starting gate.

I don't know if the ST's are going to be addressed to the point where we will see improvement..... especially on punt and kickoff coverage...... Solution......Just kick the ball out of the endzone or punt it out of bounds.... And it looks like Meevis is coming back.... hopefully he doesn't hit a sophomore funk.

Agree totally. There are things McSnead need to evaluate RIGHT NOW !! IMO A big factor is going to be Byron Young. He becomes a Free Agent,as well as Kobie Turner. You can’t sign both of them.

The last few games Byron Young might have been hurt, but his play was missed at the END.I don’t want to look back, but looking forward The Rams need to find a replacement, plus Stewart is only a 3rd down rusher.Meaning The Rams need more than Stewart moving forward.Don’t know how that will be addressed???

Kobie Turner is a leader, but what is his cost.He imo is undersized & The Rams need some BEEF UP FRONT.

I’m not worried about The Special Teams.I like The New Coach Staff. Always hated Chase Blackburns. He is probably The 1 Coach I never liked on a Rams Coach Staff. The OL coach from Stafford who I don’t even want to think about recalling his name.

BTW - finding a QB now seems to be something The Rams have to address for a few reasons.OTA’s are coming close to being here.
Is there a QB The Rams will explore before The Draft.

Like I always say about Drafting rookie Free Agents. It’s better when it isn’t a need.SO all you QB’ Draftnk’s have at it.This isn’t a good QB draft year & is a QB like Fields worth picking up if available? The Rams have some QB guru’s on there Staff.Playing behind Matthew Stafford isn’t a bad gig & maybe finding yourself as a starting QB of the future?
