Wasn’t sure how to embed the video, sorry guys. Needless to say, coach was NOT happy about this game. He’s doing a good job of keeping composed but you can tell he is FUMING.
He was livid .....you could tell how he was breathing ..... especially after the Superbowl scheme question ...I swear I thought I saw smoke come out of his ears!!!

I'm glad to hear that he's pissed.

He might have flipped a table after that Superbowl question.

Yea dude he was fuming .....the chest breaths were a clear indicator...and when they asked about removing Goff and if there was something wrong with him. He answered with such disdain for Goff and if there was something wrong with him....almost like yea there was and I don't know what the fuck it is but no I wasn't going to remove him lol

He should be fuming.

Goff didn’t play well at all. But he kept putting him and the offense in horrible positions. As soon as the Dolphins returned that fumble I knew it was probably game over.

He also needs to be railed for not playing Cam Akers. There is zero excuse to have Malcolm Brown in there. Zero.

I’ve never seen a look on McVays face like. He looks rattled as well as pissed. Almost like he can’t believe how bad the team played

I don't think mcvay is without fault because he is... but if you watch him a lot on the sideline and listen to him here.

He is frustrated with Goff. It seems to me like he is saying they had a plan to beat that but goff and the line were not getting in proper alignment and executing the plays to beat it.

Same old lines from McVay, but much different tone, demeanour, and attitude this time. I've never seen him angry before. In this presser, he looked furious. Fingers crossed this means McVay will make some positive adjustments going forward, rather than trotting out the same same strategies out there that we have seen for the past 4 years.

kind of tired of him taking the blame. i am ready to see him blame and hold certain players accountable. all though i think he did a poor job of calling plays

No, he should take the blame, he should look in the mirror because the buck stops with him. And he put his offense in shitty situations repeatedly and went away from what was working. While there are multiple reasons we lost today, it starts with him.

Here's a very illuminating Twitter thread from Jourdan Rodrigue. She's talking to Michael Brockers, but what they are talking about is what their defense was doing to our offense. Click on the tweet below and read the whole thread.

.

If goff was to blame for not beating that blitz scheme then Mcvay better get on his arse until he can beat it and then want other teams to blitz so they can burn it.

what happened in this game was that flores knew if he brought zero pressure that mcvay would try to attack it - and honestly you should attack it, but flores was gambling on the fact that goff and the line couldn't handle it and he was right. Some coaches might have played it more careful - draws, pitch outs, hb screens ect. Those coaches might have won the game because they avoided the turnovers.

McVay summed it up pretty well. They had answers for the looks but didn't execute. Later on they did. I think that covers the game nicely.

I love this dude. You just know he's gonna have foot in ass and pushing to use it to improve. Beating that look isn't some complicated thing, it's throwing the ball and making them pay. And don't buy in too much to him blaming himself. By doing that he expects the guys who didn't execute to be accountable as well.

You are correct but at some point your players have to be able to win in a situation like that. Better to find that out now and work on how to beat it aggressively than to find out later and go home because it was in the playoffs.

If a defense can put us in a shell by bringing a full-out blitz we might beat the Dolphins but we won't win the Super Bowl that's for sure.

Same sorry assed excuses. I like coach but he needs to get a run mentality in his repertoire. I hope his being mad makes a difference. Goff does not instill confidence......still.
Run the ball man! Go rams

I don't have a subscription to The Athletic, but Jourdan was kind enough to post a couple of stills from her post-game piece on her twitter feed, which I've posted below. These are Spot. Fucking. On. McVay was positively Martz-ian today, and that to me is the number one reason we lost. Not excusing Goff, not excusing the pass blocking ... but McVay could have made that moot. He didn't.
