I think we saw teams more accurately look at QBs last year and that's why a guy like Dart 25th and not higher even though many teams needed QBs. I don't Simpson goes before 20 and even then only if a team is desperate.

My guess, Simpson and Nuss go top of 2nd one right after the other. (Watch Nuss, now healthy climb draft boards).
My guess is Simpson wouldn't make it past our pick at 29.

Who did Cam Newton lose to in the National Championship???

Freaking Funny - he was what makes say a Jared Goff helping The Rams to a Super Bowl vs say Sam Bradford. The Rams gave up 3 FIRST Round Picks as well.Which was a reason The Rams said F” THEM PICKS !!
I know my post are confusing, but they do make sense if you question between The LINES !!

I’m Oldschool in my ways of VIEWING NFL QB’s & this season PROVES it more than any other NFL Season IMO !!!

I just look at The HISTORY!! Aaron Rogers is a perfect example. He was even playing with a broken left hand at the End of 2025. That’s just an example. My other example really goes to The Superbowl without even thinking about what The Regular Season brought.

From my post from above as well if anyone can decipher through any of my (BS) thoughts.Which actually is REAL !! As an ANGELS FAN I like what there doing on a STRIKE YEAR if RAMS FANS want to compare NFL & MLB. F”them DODGERS!!
Still we could look back at the Angels Stadium & talk about Georgia.Which is ironic. Because that is where The Rams WON there FIRST SUPER BOWL!!

I get DEEP,but most posters can’t Hang !! There is a lot there. Truth is like I said about The Rams - (Field of Dreams-Hollywood) back in the Day post.
You build it they will come. NOW (anyway) there is a lot there.I go back to James Harris days & the Chargers having the same colors as The Rams.

I guess I”Ll post those thoughts on the UNI’s but had a post about the Black QB as well.I remember being in the basement of Disney Hotel when Williams was balling out for the Redskins. There are Franchise QB’s,then you got your Cousins & Purdys that ball out as late rounds QB’s who really break the MOLD.There is NO TRUE SCIENCE,but IMO Veteran(experienced )QB’s are the way to go.Wonder how Jimmy G would have done instead of Stafford?? The Rams are lucky & it was an AMAZING SEASON!!

Never watched Animal House......
I almost gave this post an "Inappropriate" but "Ouch" would have to suffice. We're about the same age and I honestly don't know anyone within a decade of my age that hasn't watched Animal House. It's no doubt kind of aged by now but still worth the watch. Definitely a classic.

I've been in that place a couple times. It was a BBQ restaurant last time I was there.
That could actually stick!

Just my personal opinion but we don't need a drafted QB to win super bowl 61 at SoFi. We need a shut down corner. Yes, we need a capable backup just in case but I doubt a rookie will fit that role. Read that the Rams could pounce if the cheatriots can't extend Christian Gonzales. Dang, if he can shut down JSN, the shit hawks are toast. I saw other rumors about McDuffie from KC for #29.

To me, all in is trying to win the darn thing next season. I believe if the Rams can secure a shut down corner with one of the first rounders, then I'd be ok trading one of the first rounders for a 1st round pick next season. If not then draft another stud and let's go get it done. The window is wide open while Stafford is still wearing horns.
I’m going with the “All In This Year” strategy. With that we need to use the R1/R2 picks on starters/major contributors (WR2/KR, CB1/2, ILB, DE). Of course, FA could address some of those needs.

That's a joke ... right?
Well not really - I was impressed with Bennett in preseason and could be a decent backup QB.

I don't see Simpson being any better than Bennett.

Bout the same really.

We drafted Bennett in the 4th round (6th would have been better imho) and I wouldn't draft Simpson before the 6th round.

Pretty much anything actually funny before 2010 couldn't be made today. It's a sad, unfunny world we live in now.
What? They couldn't make Porky's.

One of the funniest movies I have ever seen. Of course, I was 19 at the time...

OK ... I mostly agree ... also, do not want a high pick used on Simpson

I was just focusing on Garoppolo being the back-up the past two years; and, probably our only point of disagreement is over Bennett's preseason performances the past three years ... too many interceptions against 2nd and 3rd teamers, in my opinion.

Well, Simpson is 6 or 7 yrs younger. He is 3 inches taller and will probably grow to be about 25 lbs heavier if not already that much bigger. So that alone makes him more capable of playing a full season. Sit him for 2 yrs to learn behind Stafford, and I think he could be at least a Brock Purdy level starter. I will take that. We are not getting another Stafford. They come around once every 4 or 5 yrs and you need a top 3 pick, at the very least, to get one.

lol...

I'll get to it....

I didn't watch very much of the tele or movies through the 80's - 90's and 2000's. Between college, music, work then coaching softball was so consuming.

I like Belushi so I should enjoy it. I just barely watched Shawshank Redemption for the first time last month.... my wife was shocked about all the movies I have never watched.

What about "Remember The Titans" ?

I mean, we're talking before workouts, interviews and FA so for me a lot of it is out of my ass.

Top of 2nd is where I think right now, I give myself right to revise right up to the draft.

I'm generous that way.
