Pryor was ground breaking.
Murphy was hilarious as well.

There have been some funny people between then and now, but Burr really is an amazing talent.

george carlin is / was my favorite. some of his best skits however, are becoming actual events and occurrences in daily life, which can sometimes downplay how funny it really is.

Hate to say it, but I’d put Louis CK up with those guys (the 2005-2015 version). Yeah he’s a creeper, but the guy’s crazy talented and wicked smaht.

Been re-listening some of his earlier stuff (chewed up, etc), dude is funny as shit
