For some kickers that might make sense. But Karty's leg is average, so there is no reason for his trajectory to be low. Which it is. We need a better option at kicker. He almost kicked it beneath the FG frame, for crying out loud. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that before. I don't care if it was windy. This is the NFL. It's not like they were playing in the middle of tornadoes. Hitting a FG from PAT distance is mandatory. He missed. And almost missed another. He leads the NFL by a big margin in missed kicks. Most kickers that have hit or miss accuracy at least offer a big leg. There is always an excuse with Mr. Karty.

His kicks are off due to 2 things ive noticed. Line blocking is SHIT which is why we have so many kicks blocked! Second, If you notice on his last FG attempt vs ravens, he kicked it like he was doing a kickoff. The Kickoff has screwed the Kicking game across the board. I say let Evans to Kickoff and punting and Karty FG only.

Alot of kickers doing the knuckleball kickoff are the ones having FG troubles!

Last year it seemed he popped the ball up pretty quickly. That stood out to me. So to me it's the knuckleball kicks screwing up his swing.

I'm no kicking expert but I know this has to be fixed or the Rams will be one and one come playoff time.

For what it's worth, my Alma Mater Hawaii, has a kicker nicknamed the "Tokyo Toe" or Kansei Matsuzawa from Japan, who learned how to placekick from watching youtube videos. Counting the last game of last season and this season, he's made 20 FG's in a row with a long of 52. What's interesting is that all of his kicks are right down the center. He's older though at 29 years old but some NFL team is likely to give him a tryout. If he makes one more FG, he'll break Jason Elam's (3rd round pick by the Broncos) consecutive FG record.
