I don't mean to be rude, but shouldn't this be in the General Sports Talk sub-forum?

As far as this thread goes, while I'm not a fan of what LeBron has done sometimes (The Decision, mostly, and I guess the whole issues with the Lakers he seemed to have), he does seem to be an overall good person (never arrested, spends a lot of money and time at charities, is an overall good, if demanding and perfectionistic, teammate, etc.), went back to Cleveland with the express purpose of winning a championship with them, which he did, and he should be in the top five of any NBA player GOAT list.

Controversial? Sure, but the man seems to be an overall good person who is one of the best players to play the sport. I'll respect what he wants to do.

i appreciate what he did hear, but this feels like a mutual breakup. Thanks for 2020, but with Father Time and Luka, the Lakers are ready to move on.

GS wanted him to play with AD, but I would guess LeBron wants to retire in Cleveland where it all started.

Goodbye GIF

Its Luka's team now. With his battery mate Austin Reaves. But honestly, they're still a ways from being championship material. Their best hope was trading for Giannis. But he was traded to Miami. You gotta play defense come playoff time. That is not Luka's thing. He's strictly a scorer. If they want to compete they need guys who can play defense and a big man who protects the rim. And to stay healthy. Luka was not available in the playoffs.

Kessler, Grimes, Sexton and Mamu join the lakers! Ayton may get cut.

I was impressed with Ayton in the playoff series against Houston. He played solid defense around the rim. Came down with big rebounds. And made some big buckets late in games. I would not cut him until they have a viable replacement. You need a big man who can play defense around the rim. Jaxon Hayes is athletic and runs the floor well, but he's not that kind of big man.

I thought you were saying those guys should join the Lakers. I haven't been keeping up. I didn't know they were signed. Kessler's a big guy at 7'2". Hopefully he can provide that rim protection. Looks like he can shoot 3's also. He only played 5 games last year. He did have a couple nice scoring games in those 5. Hopefully being a full time starter he will improve in time.

Looking at the stats Sexton has been primarily an off the bench scorer averaging 15 points per game. Not bad for a non starter. Grimes looks like another off the bench scorer. But he's averaged more minutes than Sexton.

Bottom line, if they want to become championship material they're gonna need Kessler to be that dominant rim protector they're envisioning him to be. He doesn't have to be a high scoring center. Play defense and rebound. I still don't see them as championship material. But maybe they can be better than they were.

Lebitch signed with 76ers. Kind of like Durant signing with the Warriors, little bitch. Won titles with Kyrie and Dwayne Wade carrying the team, covid title in LA don't mean shit. Fuck LeBron, worst thing to ever happen to the NBA. GOAT, my ass, not worth goat cheese.
