The title is misleading. Six drafts counting 2026 and those guys haven't had camp yet. If we're being totally honest, not biased or prejudiced, taking everything into account, team/surrounding cast/performance, I think we'd have to rank them this way.
Superbowl QBs....
Maye
Purdy
(All else being equal, because of surrounding cast (and size) I put Maye over Purdy, who has more talent around him including offensive mind on the sidelines)
Playoff QBs......
Lawrence (2 years in postseason .... 1-2 .... in the 1 win he threw 4 picks)
Caleb (1 postseason .... he had amazing moments ..... but 5 picks in 2 games?)
Stroud (3 years in postseason ... 3-3 .... but his most impressive game and only with a 100. + rating, was his first)
Nix
Daniels
Young
The rest, 9 through 28 (this years class would make it 29-33) if "current starter" was the only prerequisite, Ward, Penix, McCarthy, Willis, Dart, Shough, Sanders. After that, I got nothing. I imagine Richardson has got time. O'Connell started for a lousy Raiders team but he's not a current starter, Lev,is, Howell, Pickett......I believe they would be considered career backups.
2021 Lawrence
2022 Purdy.....and now Willis
2023 Young and Stroud but probably not in that order
2024 Caleb, Daniels, Maye, Nix, Penix, McCarthy
2025 Ward, Dart, Shough, Sanders
If we're talking performance and potential, Caleb would certainly be in the top 3, kicking somebody out......Lawrencde or Purdy. I think most franchises would be happy with #1 through #3. The rest? Is Daniels too lean to hold up? Nix suffered a freak injury. Is that a concern? Does Young have a stranglehold on making it? Will Stroud, with only 1 really good showing (his first game), repeat his 2025 postseason performance, which would sour many teams.
2026
So this year's class, Mendoza, Simpson, Beck, Allar, Klubnik, Nussmeier???...........which certainly isn't as impressive as 2004, might produce a starter, maybe two.
Looking at performance, draft class quality, potential how would you rank them?
Caleb or Maye, then Purdy or Lawrence???????? Or some other order.
