Not saying I’ve got the greenest thumb in the neighborhood. But come on pal. Do better…

Not the greatest application for the turf, I’m thinking. looks like somebody threw a green blanket over a baby giraffe. :eyeroll:

Anybody else have some knucklehead landscaping in their neighborhood?

That just does not make sense. Conspiracy theories anyone?
No need for a conspiracy theory... as usual, just stupidity and incompetence.

It's in Hungary. Intended as giving access to a terminal on a railway line. Only problem is, the railway hasn't been built yet... and won't be for at least another 4 years.

I am surprised the US hasn't done something like that - of course we can always talk about the California railroad project

Only vaguely related, but this "roundabout to nowhere" cracked me up

I lived for a while in Italy and they put one of those things near my neighborhood. First week there were a handful of terrible accidents, drivers hitting it at high speeds (the area was remote) and actually blowing through the steel guardrails. Car parts and chunks everywhere man. In the middle there were often cars flipped as it took several days for them to get out there to haul them away when they were totaled. Bunch of deaths. It was unbelievable.

Those dudes are the slowest bastids you'll ever work with. But when they get behind the wheel they're all Mario Andretti. :laugh4:

My landscaping fail is I still haven't raked and burned the leaves on one end of my property. Did about half of them but every time it rains I need to wait for them to dry out. I bought this place for the trees but goddamn if I don't have regrets when I'm raking.

My wife finally convinced me to get a leaf blower, but I am generally opposed to them. They can be great blowing leaves out of congested spaces not practical for a rake, but sometimes they are just a lazy mans tool.

Also, especially with the big industrial blowers, and even my battery powered unit, it’s the noise. Disturbs the quiet in the neighborhood. I like to rake. It’s good mental therapy. Helps me blow off some of the rage I feel when the Rams underuse TuTu.

Years ago neighbor kid once came to my door and said for 5 bucks he'd get the leaves off my lawn. I gave him 5 bucks and said go for it.

After he was done I saw all the leaves on my neighbors yard. I told him "hey, you blew them all over Tom's yard". He knocks on Tom's door and says "For 5 bucks I'll get the leaves off your yard". I think that kid is a successful business man today.

I live in a rural area, my neighbors have livestock so those fences are barbed wire. So if I use a leaf blower they'd end up through the fence. Wife bought me an electric leaf blower for xmas, but yeah I still rake them. God knows I need the cardio workout anyway.

fuck raking!

I have no neighbors in the winter, so just watch all my leaves blow into their yards for 4 months.
Then they all show up on weekends now and do yard cleanup for a month str8!!
