If he continues with the same sort of play to the midway point of the season I would be in favor of an early extension!Ok, it's really early, but if Landman continues playing like this, what do we do at the end of season considering he's only on a one year contract?

We should enjoy him this year and hope we have an elite defense.Ok, it's really early, but if Landman continues playing like this, what do we do at the end of season considering he's only on a one year contract?
I'm hoping we've got enough to sign them all. & it really depends on his play... what if he's one of the top 3 ILB's by end of season?? he deserves to stay & get paid. We can excercise options on some of the other rooks. We should enjoy him this year and hope we have an elite defense.
Because realistically if he balls out like Sunday all season, he'll sign a big contract likely with some team other than the Rams, who will take the 3rd or 4th round comp pick and plug another UDFA into the position.
With Turner, Young, Verse, Fiske, and now maybe even Forbes needing pay days soon, McSnead probably doesn't deviate from the script on defense by paying an ILB.
Sad, but likely. We should enjoy him this year and hope we have an elite defense.

Snead and McVay have shown they will deviate from their normal script in extraordinary circumstances, but if an ILB is top 3 then he will get paid like Zach Braun who just got $17mil per year. You think that happens with Landman? I don't!I'm hoping we've got enough to sign them all. & it really depends on his play... what if he's one of the top 3 ILB's by end of season?? he deserves to stay & get paid. I think Dolac may do just as well if not better in some ways but will need to work on his punching balls out.Sad, but likely.
Very astute.
The size profile between Landman and Dolac is pretty big.I think Dolac may do just as well if not better in some ways but will need to work on his punching balls out.
Landman is probably the best at that from what I have seen. That was an awesome punch out.
Well he just needs to put on 15 lbs of muscleThe size profile between Landman and Dolac is pretty big.
Dolac is listed as the backup behind Speights and that's the position where the Rams have lighter ILBs. Landman and Reeder are both bigger in the 240 lb range.
