It’s obvious to me that the Saints were keying on KW to try to make the Rams one dimensional…but he is so shifty that even when they had him for a loss, he almost always escapes with positive yards. You can bet the Giants, and especially the Niners are going to try to take KW out of his effectiveness…good luck.

And that is exactly what we want. Then we kill them with the pass and then what do they do. With Stafford you can't just key on KW or you really get torn up.

When all is said and done this season... it will be wild if the Rams don't make the playoffs and that he difference would've been a healthy Kyren Williams.

We'll disagree here. Faulk was by far superior. He's a Hall Famer for his whole career. He was called Superman for a reason. Kyren has had one good year, calm down. Let me know when Kyren even gets close.

You take that as me being sensitive? Now you've entered clown mode.... I'm simply pointing out it's a bad statement to say Kyren is in any way superior to Faulk after one good year. If you can't see that, I can't help you. Trying to paint me as sensitive because your argument sucks doesn't validate it at all. In all fairness, Kyren is young and can definitely challenge Faulk as better as his career plays out. You're simply failing victim to recency bias.

Kyren is special to this offense. Faulk was just special. His vision? He had eyes in the back of his head. His moves? He ran routes better than 90% of the WRs playing then.

In 99 and 2000, Faulk had 2740 rushing yards (on 504 att; 5.4) and 168 rec (84 per yr) for 1878 yards receiving. That is 4618 yards from scrimmage. Plus he had 38 TDs. He followed that up with 2147 yards from scrimmage in 2001 and 21 TDs.

6765 yds, 59 TDs in 3 years. You don't do that without impeccable vision, terrific moves and all pro route running.

We can only hope KW comes close to that production.

That 79 team was seared in my memory as a kid. I can recite the entire starting line ups for the Rams SB team.
If Georgia never took over it would have been us that dominated the 80s, not the Niners.

Even moreso now lol. I would suggest trying to work on reading comprehension. Speaking of recency bias, you only remember watching Faulk weekly for the Rams. Go watch him running the football for Indy. His vision was average at best at that point in his career. He averaged 3.8 YPC his first four years in the league.

I watched Faulk play in college, for the Colts and for the Rams. I was a PSL holder the entire time he was in St. Louis. Goodness, go watch his tape from his time in Indy. For the Rams, he never had to run hard, do you not remember the offense and scheme? Why do you think he suddenly went from less than 4 YPC to mid 5 YPC? Faulk thrived in space and space was abundant in the GSOT days.
