Bailey's momentum was taking him in the opposite direction from the ball and it was way above him, no way that was on him.....any NFL QB should be able to make that throw and at least hit the numbers if not in stride also.

That ball had some zip on it and was way overthrown. Hard to find fault with Bailey on that one, even *if* the mantra is that if the ball hits you in the hands, you should catch it. That was just a tough one to come down with. Sucks, because he had some room to run on that one.

Definitely not a good throw. I do think Bailey still makes that catch most of the time.
Hill had a tough night. Also took a beating.

I thought Hill was rushing things in the first series. He stayed that way all night. Mind you the Cards had a hand in on that....but....sometimes you simply have to get the job done.

It looked like hills legs were hurting him throughout the game. Might explain all the errant throws.

He did seem like something was up and it got brought up in the chat room that he was "off". Maybe he got dinged early on and it effeted his play.

@LetsGoRams you're right he gets 15 yards more probably, 10 for sure.

Hills throws were high and off target all night. Nothing different on this play than when they ran it in the 1st Q

I wanted to see more routes and shorter passes like that all night. It would have offset(replaced) our struggling run game and allowed for more diverse playcalling in better down and distance situations. It also would have likely extended a few drives and lessened the Cards dominance in time of possession(34:24 vs 25:36)....which is very important to Fisher and the success of our offense.

I felt that the Rams tried to go deep too often early in the down count. I like aggressiveness but when your run game is struggling(even in a one possession game) you have to adjust somewhere in order to get 2nd down and manageable. Too many 2nd and long, 3rd and longer.

And i agree with others that say that Hill was noticeably uncomfortable and inaccurate all night.

That's what I saw too.
I made remarks last night about him throwing from his back foot. Anyone who has ever thrown a ball knows how important footwork is. He threw that way most of the night.

.

Hill has looked off the last two games.

That pass to Bailey pretty much encapsulated his past 2 weeks in one play.
