Nah, it's not. Also, it's literally a thread about Josh Gordon not getting any more chances. It's not like
@flv brought this up randomly in a Goff thread...
Gordon's an addict and he needs help.
Also, it's possible to be behaviorally addicted to weed which is a different set of problems compared to the chemical addictions like nicotine, alcohol and opiates. As an addict (gambling), the feelings if inadequacy that stem from that lead to further decision that exacerbate the problem, hence the PEDs. Gordon was always enough without any PEDs, but when you're an addict, you can't ever look at yourself and think you're enough. Not an excuse, just a reason And still addiction. Still needs treatment.
At the end of the day, it's just a sad waste of an exceptional talent that at times was transcendent even when not surrounded by tons of talent. Gordon's big year reminds me of Isaac Bruce's big year... with no other WRs of note and Chris Chandler throwing him passes... wow.
Anyway, Gordon had become the Steve Howe of the NFL and at some point, this opportunity has to end and Gordon has to make the decision to be part of his own recovery.
I say this as a person who lamented all the Charlie Sheen jokes and just wants folks who are up against it to be treated and not become just another ingredient in the sausage that is modern "entertainment"
