It’s a travesty that this franchises only Super Bowl quarterback isn’t in the ring of honor. We’ve had legends community gatherings and he wasn’t there either. I realize he identifies with the Cards more after Mary’s did him wrong. But it’s time for McVay to right this wrong and have the team acknowledge his greatness and what he brought to the team. If he refuses it’s on him and we fans can move on, and let him know how that makes us feel. But #13 needs to be recognized.

I haven't noticed...

In our new palatial home... is there a Ring Of Honor?

There must be I would think... but I haven't noticed that. Hopefully there is one, and I also hope that it is permanently affixed to the actual stadium. That way, whoever is playing in Our House.... like the renters or Olympians or whoever in the hell.... Gets a constant reminder of who The Real Owners are every time they step foot inside.

I do not share these feelings. But understand the reasons why so many do. Loved having him on the team. His wife rubbed me wrong. And he can have his Cardinals.

Sorry your reasoning is incredibly weak. You don’t like his wife so the Rams shouldn’t honor one of its greats? The only QB to win a title shouldn’t be honored because of his wife? Worst take ever sorry that’s terrible.

With that logic, Trent Dilfer should be honored in Tampa.

I don't deny his ability, he was terrific for us. I just don't care for the man and I truly believe Trent Green would have been as good or better in that scheme. He proved how good he was in KC.

Honoring a player isn't just on the team. The player has to show love as well. Torry and Isaac are always around. They are Rams through and through. Those are the players that should get honored imo.

I should also say, I don't care if they honor him. He meant a lot to the team and to the Rams fan community. I am well aware I'm in the minority. I just don't care with way.

I know if they start a new ring of honor....he is not at the front of the line.

I am not a fan. He just gives the vibe that he truly hates the RAMS and that just turns me off. I am sure he has his reasons, but without the RAMS taking a chance on signing him as a backup he would not have a SB ring either. So each needed the other and maybe he should be a little thankful for that (maybe he is). As was said Green could have provided the same thing maybe and maybe more?

Also with your logic then should all members of the team for those 3 years be included? What about Jones for his game saving tackle?

Not an attack on you @OldSchool JMHO. I mean look at Dickerson and what the RAMS did to him. He loves the RAMS, sometimes to much LOL.

He’s a Cardinal now and hates the Rams. I can live without him now, just like Dan Dierfdorf won’t be in any combined Circle of Honor. Can you still tell I am pissed as fvck at his betrayal after the career was over?

I've got really mixed feelings on this one.

On one hand, I do wish Warner would get over his anti-Ram grudge. The Rams are the ones that ultimately gave him his big chance and compensated him accordingly when he made the most of it. And it's the team with which he actually got his ring. Furthermore, it's not the same people running the team when he left, so why the continued butthurt?

On the flip-side though, I still remember very vividly how quickly and viciously Rams fans turned against him when things started to go south while giving Martz a pass for a few years after. Yet it was Martz who got Warner killed time and time again, putting him on an island against unblocked rusher and exposing him to hit after hit until the inevitable injury occurred - even moreso in a case like his where he's got mobility commensurate with a pocket QB and also had the guts to hang in there and take a hit. Yet Martz got a pass for his fuckups vis a vis Warner for a couple of years after Kurt was gone. If there's anyone Kurt should hold a grudge against, it's Martz.

Agree with Old School... I'm not sure they can have a "ring of honor" with the Chargers currently in there, but they should honor the entire Super Bowl team at some point. Preferably next year when they can have fans -lol.

I am sure he has his reasons

are you really sure?

martz, and thus the rams, fucked him sideways.

martz tried to ruin and end his career. that fateful game against the giants, the attack on his character, the misinformation campaign telling the rest of the league kurt was finished. cutting him at the end of the free agent period so he had no choices on where to go.

he, and thus the rams, cost kurt millions and millions of dollars in lost salary opportunities. kurt was lucky whisenhunt came into his life otherwise he would have been known for the rest of his life as a flash in the pan.

who wouldn't hold a grudge?

.

I am torn on this thread btw a great discussion by all the pros vs cons.

Maybe the Rams didn't respect him enough. At the same time every player understands the business of football Kurt is no different. Remember he bounced around the fringes of the NFL and the Rams gave him another shot and stood by him. There is a reason he didn't stick prior to the Rams yet the Rams helped him mature and florish.

Personally I loved KW, I have a signed helmet, football and Jersey so there is a lot of love there. But unfortunately respect goes both ways he would not have all that he has a great career and lucrative broadcast career if it wasn't for the Rams PERIOD! Let that sink in.

The level of respect he has shown back to the Rams organization is very disrespectful you can feel it when he speaks of them even in the Superbowl run.

I unfortunately am siding on the Rams side in this argument and feel he should not go in the ring of honor if we have one. He seems like a bitter spiteful person and to me that is really pretty.

Sorry Kurt, but you haven't matured even after all your success you don't deserve the Rams ring of honor. Maybe you should take some time to reflect on your careers and blessings you always talk about.

Bills have O.J. on theirs. Seems to me Kurt should already be in ours. And no, Green may have had a good year had he played. But what Kurt did was otherworldly.

i always laugh when people say any qb could have done what kurt did in that team.

so many laughs at the bulger fanboys back in the day.
