I saw that too and didn’t think too much of it. But then I watched McVay’s presser yesterday and he wasn’t nearly as positive about it as he has been the past several days. I think he was partly annoyed because one of the reporters kept asking about the travel plans for Australia and McVay had to tell him like 5 different times they were going to keep that in house. But he also kept saying “we’re really happy with the guys we have in our d-line room even if Aaron doesn’t come back”, which he reiterated a few times. Could be nothing, but the vibes were definitely different when he was as talking about it yesterday.
I think he was saying it won't have the expected impact. "It just feels off."

Yeah, he said, "35 years old, he wasn't the old Aaron Donald his last 2 years.....13 sacks in 27 games". To some degree he's right, though AD was first team all pro his final season. They don't hand them out because of what you've done previously. And maybe that is ONE OF THE REASONS he's trying a comeback. Those last 2 years he was double and triple teamed a lot and had little help, because Turner and Young were so inexperienced. Opportunity here is not as many double teams and zero triple teams if he plays alongside Garrett.I think he was saying it won't have the expected impact. "It just feels off."
Also I don't buy the notion that AD won't be doubled because of Garrett. Myles does get stopped some of the time he had no sacks and was dealt with a few times vs some teams in his career too. So they'll put more guys on the immediate threat so it may be back to "if it takes more blockers to slow AD then others should step up."
I figure we're either going to have 68 - 70 sacks or 40 picks.
Haha, man I'm just reminiscing how devastating that 85 Bears defense was. 64 sacks and 34 ints was some crazy work. My first year cheering for the Rams the defense had 32 interceptions (1976). Would love the Rams to break either.
Shows AD working out with a sled, but there's no indication of the actual date or anything. I feel like we might get more unconfirmable uploads like this as it drags on. Would love for it to be legit.
