I'm only speculating and have no factual basis for my opinion. But I believe my thoughts are believable.
Why would AD still have kept himself in top physical shape (for pro football) aside from actual live contact drills (which I believe he is trying out now) other than leaving the window open for a possible comeback under the right conditions? He joked last year that he would think about if Micah Parsons had signed with the Rams.

At least the Patriots actually got investigated and punished — lost draft picks for cheating (Spygate/Deflategate).
Now imagine if someone filmed the actual “Greatest Show on Turf” Rams practicing back in the day — Warner, Bruce, Faulk, Holt, Pace, Timmerman, Little (well… maybe not him, given his history), Williams, etc. That’d be something to watch.
Anyway, I’m putting myself through Rams training camp next week. Not sure how I’ll survive it. My biggest worry is picking the right SPF — 30 or 50 — can’t just wing it, and definitely can’t go in “bulletproof” unprepared.
Hopefully the young camp staff/interns helping an old guy like me out of the car don’t get me so excited I embarrass myself, and that my sunscreen doesn’t melt down my face in the heat.

However, it does offer far less entertainment value.

The Rams front office & franchise is Great I call being able to see them over The years(a decade) is a BLESSING !! When I first posted here & you can look back at all my post which in some case is worry some in the way to distort from those times in my life & the changes. As a Rams Fan & poster I do admit I’ve been WRONG & there’s way to much PROOF.I have to admit I’ve been wrong which really hurts my heart-lol.
I do have to say though if I have attend anybody on this RodRM forum I am truly sorry.I does help me vent in my own ways at times.We all go through certain things called life.If there’s weird science,which there is I’m living proof.

I was & have been to UCI & Oxnard before The Rams moved & called it out Dec 10,2014 at the Forum SOFI was going to be built & that The Rams would be back in LA.Fisher & Demoff knew it.I’m not sure about Stan ?? He knew he wanted out of the Dome.
BTW my favorite PBall chick plays there & might try to go back there next season.I’m sure your all Shocked(lol).my dupr rating is way above above my grade point avg. ever was.To think imo around a 4.5 senior of course.Which I say bring it on,love beating up on those cocky young folk.Ana is The Best when it comes to being cool & herself.

Take is AD99 wasn’t a training camp guy,he took advantage of his contract holding out.My view has always been why The Rams signed Gurley & Goff early.AD99 has always been GO TIME & didn’t need long to get ready.
—If you go back I believe he had to SIT a game to get into football shape & not get injured (Aiyuk imo).
Last season Whitworth was all talk,but who is to say when push comes to shove that he wouldn’t made a run ?? That is a huge calling.Like he said AD99 is 10 years younger & in GREAT shape.
He has the bug deep down inside.He doesn’t like the GRIND!! Getting TRIPLE TEAMED at 6”0 278 soaking wet ??

I hear some people thinking he'll join the team mid season. Others think he'll want to be there for the whole thing. I'm one who thinks its better for him to be there from the first game. They might have to put him on a pitch count early one. Then release the Kraken down the stretch.
continuity with who. None of the starters will be on the field for games that don't count. Practice will be good enough and then when the games count they ramp him up. It's not like they don't already have a Dline thats a hand full. No need to rush.

Well we have a different view & mine has always been he might comeback the Weddle way & Eric’s type of way only.
Only in the sense that he would want another RING without that chance he would be doing himself a disservice.
The MAIN FACT of mine has been Salary Cap !! How much would AD99 COST ?? That is the ONLY way I could see The Rams being able to afford him.
