I have no idea about the situation with either of the Rams backup QB's.

But in regards to Bennett - why not just cut him to open up a roster spot last year?
I gotta think there's something there. I just don't think McVay's silence on Bennett means anything...but maybe you're right - who knows?

Stetson is a Rams QB there grooming.Tell me what Mattew Stafford’s future??

IMO it’s a luxury to have 3 QB’s with that much talent & years in The Rams system.

Of course they will kick the tires & find another arm in training camp. We’ll see ,that is just the way I see it &

Yeah - full of gloom

Let’s Go Rams baby !!

Well as you can see from my post how far away I am with what The Rams are going to do,because it’s pretty self explanatory!!

There are a few options on the table.Just sitting on my hands & waiting for input.

IMO The Rams have really come up with a game plan with The Draft.I’m sure they have a few options on the table & the table is set.

If you tell me who’s on the board then we could go A,B,C

So the Steelers situation with Rodgers is tenuous as expected. I've seen some names thrown around that the Steelers might be interested in, and yet JG's name is not one of them

Rodgers is such a typical NorCal QB product. Total pansy look-at-me's. Most of them anyway.

Rodgers
Crapernick
Brady
Goff-not so much

Steelers are in for a shit season if they don't sign him. The well is dry. Hell, they might be in for a shit season IF they sign him. Not sure how you let the most important position blow in the wind and not address it. This also leads me to think, they might have Simpson targeted as draft no matter what.

Simpson doesn't get past Pittsburgh at 21, IMHO. Still chasing the mistake of Kenny Pickett.

Yeah Pittsburgh has been ear marked for Simpson by many regardless of the Rodgers situation
With the draft being in Pittsburgh you know they want to make a splash with their 1st round pick

And what a mistake that would be, they are NOT gonna be good next year and will most likely have a shot at a top QB.

But ownership steadfastly refuses to do a rebuild on this team.

Nah, the Steelers are NEVER Top 5 pick bad. Very rarely even Top 10. They'll be picking anywhere from 12-18 a-gain, well out of range of Top 2-3 QB's and theyre not a " "splash draft trade " type of team.

Simpson is a good speculative play for them this Draft, IF they love him of course......

What about the current construction of the Steelers team makes you think they'll be picking 12-18 next year?

That might also make them a little gun shy about a QB like Simpson with so few starts.

I think QB needy teams, meaning teams that need a new QB by 2027, are more likley to wait until next year. Albert Breer was on Eisen or maybe it was Cowherd. He mentioned, just like I heard another draft guy say recently, that when you talk to the scouts and personnel guys, the conversation always shifts to how great the 27' draft is for QBs and it's overall quality in general.

So Simpson fits more with a team like the Rams or maybe the Eagles (heard it here first), who don't need a QB right now, so they can then develop Simpson.

Steelers need to get spooked into thinking another is going to pick Simpson before their pick at #21. Then they can move up to #13.
#21 and #53 is pretty much even value. That gives us the firepower to take an OT, WR and LB with the first 3 picks. Lines up pretty good.

This would be a great trade, unless of course Simpson turns into a All Pro QB.
