He throws a pick on the 8-12 yard out like clockwork. If he doesn’t, it’s because you dropped it (see Ramsey in the NFCCG).
I swear he throws one or more of those suckers into the arms of a defender every time I watch him.
I believe he tossed one in his ONLY start as a Ram.
Get that choke artist outta the locker room. He isn’t all that.
He has only played one game as a backup. Wentz won his only game as a starter for the Rams and mayfield won his first start with several backups on what? Two days of prep?
I would rather have either of those guys. I know mayfield is a bona fide starter, but wentz is not anymore.
Coincidentally, I believe mayfield’s contract is ending soon.
Why don't you just compare JG to Captain Pick-6 (yes, Stafford) himself?
JG is an accomplished NFL QB that knows the system. Not the greatest, but more than capable of leading the Rams.
Again, some of you seem to think it's possible to have a great player at every position, and even a great backup QB?

Really makes you wonder how he got a 43-21 record as a starter, and 5-2 in Playoffs for someone who sucks so much? Also wonder how a genius such as McVay can employ someone who sucks so much for 2 years and wants him back for a 3rd.....?

I think he's a typical system quarterback. Put him in the right system and he's fine. In the wrong system he will struggle. The Rams have the right system for him. Which is why I'm hoping he returns. I would say as far as the other backups around the league he's probably among the best for the Rams. Put him on the Jets and he's not among the best backups.
Ok. Let’s compare.
Stafford makes throws g-string can’t. G-string’s picks have been predictable to me. I’ve already noted the out pattern for which he is notorious for throwing picks. You mention “Captain Pick 6” as if that bad run he had in ‘21 was typical. He shook it off just fine and played lights out when it mattered. I swear, some of you don’t remember winning the SB that year and how the Rams did it. I wonder if anybody remembers what he did as a raider once he left the 9ers. I believe he was leading the league in interceptions before being benched and then cut. He has sucked since the ‘21 regular season. He couldn’t even generate points in the playoffs that year.
As for wanting a star at every position, that’s unrealistic and not anything I have ever suggested. You have erroneously inferred my position. I just don’t like jimmy and think a guy who has had one start 2 year’s ago (and lost) has shown nothing to inspire some of you to so vigilantly defend. But if he’s your guy, so be it. He’s not mine.

Stafford's is Captain Pick-6.
Stafford has the most pick 6's in NFL history, so don't make it sound like a one year thing.
But Stafford is great regardless.
