jimmy g... cousins....

either is good with me...

and i say that because if stafford goes down, i think either can hold their own ...

we lose stafford, and the whole rest of the team will have to pull weight...

and with jimmy or kurt, the rams can still get it done..

we are that good

my opinion...

go rams

Totally agree,Mcvay knows that & feels that. It’s up to Jimmy G & what he wants to do ?

IMO - Mcvay sort of has said it in the past & recently in the presence of when Lafleur was rumored of stealing Jimmy G.He totally went the other way & kept the price down & his being a Free Agent out of the Lime Light.

Don’t think these last 2 seasons as a RAM is held lightly in Sean Mcvays eyes.I know some Ram Fans might not want to hear it or think it.The word in House is he is going to be a NFL starter again in The NFL.
Jimmy G knows there is going to be an opening soon & some money to be made.Tax season is here now.
Then again after June 1 there is more money that could be available for him after the dust has settled which would keep him here.

So you’re good with Stetson for 6 games over Garappollo and they need to win 2 or 3 to make the playoffs with Stafford coming back???

A backup in the playoffs almost guaranteed not to win it all but, it absolutely matters in the regular season.
No. And I'm not good with JG for 6 games. Or Cousins for 6 games. About the only thing I'm good with is Stafford playing 17.

Jimmy G already know the Rams offense and player tendencies. It would take Cousins some time to get that all figured out.

The Rams would have a much better chance of success with Jimmy G taking snaps if the unthinkable happens. The Rams would win 60% of their games with Jimmy G. IMO we would get are asses kicked if Cousins or Stetson was our QB.

Disagree. Do you remember Cousins coming in for the Falcons and beating us last year? He's more then adequate as a back up.

For Atlanta he is.......

For the Rams Cousins asking price is way too high..... Jimmy G is the guy and can probably get him at $6-7 Mil a season, or $10Mil 2-year deal.

Where have you seen either of these guys’ asking price? And, how much is Atlanta paying Cousins in ‘26?

I think Atlanta paid him close to $100 mil. And I read he's looking for at least $15-20 mil a season.

I think JimmyG might be pushing the Rams for more money or he would have already signed a 1 year $4mil deal.

When has Cousins ever signed for less than top dollar?
And JG was on a pretty cheap deal last year, dont see what leg he has to stand on in expecting a raise

True but if Cousins is already getting a big bag from Atlanta he might love to play for the Rams at vet minimum for a year.

He's not getting that bag from Atlanta though, his '26 salary wasnt guaranteed. This isnt like Tua or the Midget who had guaranteed deals. Atlanta will pay him out a bonus, but thats it

That’s what I was looking for, thank you. I couldn’t tell by what Sportrac or under the cap showed.

In that case give me Jimmy G all day.

He is as cheap as can legally be possible (vet minimum). One of the reasons I'm all for adding him. Jimmy G ain't signing for the vet minimum.

You guys realize that Cousins will still get paid from the Falcons this year right? The team that signs him has absolutely zero incentive to pay more then vet minimum, as all that does is reduce the amount the Falcons have to pay him. Since there is no team paying him to be a starter, a team would have to offer him north of 10 million for this season for that to increase what he is actually already being paid. I can't see a team offering more then that personally, Falcons would love it if it happened though.

Thats not true
Cousins '26 salary was not guaranteed. They have to pay him his 10 mill roster bonus, that's it
This isnt the Tua or Murray situation
Cousins will look for his bag, like he always does, I'd imagine he's going to wait on an injury and look at the Malik Willis deal
