Same as this year. Not a legit starter
Serious question; ( lives depend on it! )

How many games would Keemum have to win this year for you to consider that you *might* just *possibly* be wrong? :D

....reality will set back in eventually
And you know this how, oh, internet general manager?

And don't you feel even a little bad hoping the guy fails just so you'll be right in your past evaluations?

You know, you can include all these thoughts in one post.
I like Case Keenum and think he's a great story. But he's got a noodle arm and QB cant last playing like that. Austin Davis looked great too for awhile, until the league caught up to him and forced him to throw outside the hash.
He's a perfect backup QB

Austin Davis has a noodle arm but Case Keenum has a DECENT arm.

For me personally it's velocity.
Case gets good velocity.

His distance is about average.

You know who gets great distance right?
That's right.... JaMarcus Russell, first pick in the draft. :D

I have been one of the staunchest supporters of Goff at work and everyone was telling me he is a bust. I kept telling them it was Fisher's offense and not Goff for the horrible play. No one believed me.

I finally got my friend at work to admit that he was completely wrong about Goff.

Just curious, but what's your definition of a noodle arm? Velocity or depth?
Not Able to throw across field with velocity without being able to step in to it.
Sure with a deep pocket and ability to step in to his throw, case can heave the ball dowwnfield. They all can. What separates the noodle from the rest is that ability to throw across the field

Not sure about definitions... to me, you'll know it when you see it.

Link me an example so I can go into my Keenum library and see if I have an equivalent.

No worse than those hoping Goff fails so they can be proved right
Is that a "thing"?
I haven't noticed.

I was one of those trying to talk those posters off the ledge last year.

I knew was Fisher, Boras, lack of a O line, lack of receivers and a very uninspired Gurley.

Just watch any of his games.
Its why he wasnt drafted and is on his 3rd team
Do you think people would have drafted him if they know what they know now?

Do you think his lack of success had anything to do with the really bad and desperate teams he was playing for?

According to the website I just checked, Case Keenum is STILL the NCAA career passing yards leader.

Not a bum. :D

Fair enough.
How many quarterbacks playing right now in the NFL do you think fall under your definition of non noodle arm?

A couple thoughts:
1] He went to Houston - not necessarily the most stout of competition
2017 Houston Football Schedule
Sept. 2 – at UTSA
Sept. 9 – at Arizona
Sept. 16 – Rice
Sept. 23 – Texas Tech
Sept. 30 – at Temple
Oct. 7 – SMU
Oct. 14 – at Tulsa
Oct. 19 – Memphis (ESPN)
Oct. 28 – ECU
Nov. 4 – at USF
Nov. 18 – at Tulane
Nov. 24 – Navy (ABC/ESPN Networks)
Dec. 2 – The American Championship (ABC/ESPN)
2] Unfortunately, college performance doesn't always translate to pros (see Tavon Austin)
