My family had season tickets in Anaheim from the day the Rams arrived until they left.

I miss this stadium and the Rams playing on that field. There were so many fun days at this place, and watching the Rams play outdoors in the sun, with those uniforms, cannot be beat.

I'll be honest and please don't hate me...

That stadium sucked. The sight lines were horrific... I never liked it.
When I watched them at the Coli.. shitty seats and amenities and all.. it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better.

What I liked about the Big A was ease of access. Quick shot down to garden grove freeway then 57 and you're there. So much easier than the Coliseum. This is why most of my games I attended as a kid were the Angels. Later on in my teens we'd hit a game then Disneyland sometimes on the weekend.

But that era is bitter due to the fact Georgia was looking for an out. LA didn't like her, which was valid on the heels of what was one of the league's best owners prior to her shitty window of ownership.

Big A was easy to get into but except for 1980 opening day, I never had a problem getting into Dodger Stadium. There was one entrance that was easy to get into the stadium because very few people knew about this entrance.

People almost always took the 110 freeway entrance which took forever to get into Dodger Stadium.

I remember the "Please sell the team!" banners. We lost so many players back then to other teams who'd become stars. Her front office wanted to pinch pennies, but still get rewarded.

I lived in Anaheim for little bit as a young lad. I never got to see the Rams play there because the Family moved back up north, and mom and pops split up. I did get to watch the MLB Angels play the Oakland A's.

My pops and most of my family were 49er fans (a few of them Raider fans) so all of you can imagine what that was like for 7-year-old Rams fan growing up).

How did I become a Rams fan at such a young age?

Have to give it up to my pops. He was a huge NFL fan when I was a diaper dandy. (49ers were his childhood team)

I was about 6 almost 7 years old and for some reason, I didn't get excited for the 49ers like the rest of the family did when everybody was watching them Sundays on the TV tube.

Pops told me at young age that I either have to support the home team (49ers) or choose an NFL team of my own and stay loyal to them. He said I wasn't allowed to change teams after I make a final decision.) Italian fathers (loyalty) go figure...

As a 7-year-old youngster watching the NFL pregame, and highlight shows NFL Today on (CBS with Brent Musburger, Irv Cross & Jimmy the Greek) & the Monday Night Football crew (Howard Cosell, Frank Gifford & Don Meredith) I was captivated by the Rams uniforms (Blue & Yellow) and the horns on their helmet.

Long story short, every time I seen the Rams on CBS and the Monday night football highlights, I finally told my pops the Rams were my favorite team.

I got some backlash and teased not understanding they were in the 49ers division, but my pops said you stick with them kid because you don't get to change teams after you pick one.

After I picked the Rams as my team, I never swayed from them and many years later before my pops passed away, he was very happy for me when the Rams finally won their first Super Bowl 1999 season (Dick Vermeil) led St Louis Rams.

Kind of wild/crazy how caring about an NFL team can follow a child to his manhood and the love for the team never fades. It only grows and I'm super happy for everybody that has heart strings attached to the Los Angeles Rams. This team gives me the same chills and anxiety that it did when I was a young pup.

As a kid I hated any move. I'm A little OCD. I started rooting for the L.A. Rams. That was the team. It rolls off the tongue. I hated when people called them the Anaheim Rams. They were officially the LA Rams so it drove me nuts. Being a kid from the East that's like an insult. As if LA didn't even want them so some rinky dink unknown took the scraps. They might as well have been the Trenton Rams to me. The move to St Louis was even harder to accept. It removed all question of them being the LA Rams. My fandom was twisted like a pretzel in my brain. Its odd since I never attended A game nor am I from LA. I was so relieved when they went back to where they were when I started roofing for them as a kid.

For exanple, the Dallas Cowboys wouldn't feel the same if they moved to Fort Worth Texas. The Eagles wouldn't feel the same if they moved to Harrisburg PA. The only reasons the Ravens worked out so well was on field success. Plus Cleveland kept the Browns name.

I don't recall anyone calling them the Anaheim Rams. Everything was LA Rams, even game tickets, programs, etc.

When holidaying out there in the late 80’s we took in an Angels game in at the Anaheim stadium. A young me ordered a coke and it came in this cup.

You can imagine my delight at the Rams being represented on it, so much so I took it back home with me. Not sure if it’s still at my parents. I’ll have to ask next time I’m round there.

Okay so I'm a tad confused on this...The Dallas Cowboys played in Irving, until their new Stadium was built in Arlington, they never played in Dallas. The New York Football Giants last played in New York at the old Yankee Stadium back in the early 70's and same with the New York Jets as both teams play in New Jersey. The San Francisco 49ers currently play in Santa Clara and are still called the San Francisco 49ers.

Did not come across that much in Upstate NY, however, anytime I ran into a Raider fan I would tell them to be a Raider fan you have to be worth a dime from the neck up.

Used to use the Glendale Fwy (?) entrance at north end of the complex and park near the entrance/exit. Used to get out of the stadium in 10 mins while everybody else, especially the ones trying to get to Stadium Way, sat for half an hour...
