Nothing against Perry but every time I hear his name I picture Stallworth catching that pass behind him in the Super Bowl in Pasadena.
He also told me that my Replacements t-shirt was cool, and that they were the best band of all time.

BTW- Kurt Cobain was not a Fan.

Sad that Perry and Butch are both remembered by a later highlight over their previous career contributions and accolades on the field. Saw him play since his rookie season and Perry was a solid all-pro CB who had made many big plays for the Rams like pick-6's and tough stops. Just an unfortunate situation in that SB as he was left alone on a bomb when the new safety Eddie Bown didn't read the play. The Rams missed S Bill Simpson in that SB as well as a full healthy Jack Youngblood.Nothing against Perry but every time I hear his name I picture Stallworth catching that pass behind him in the Super Bowl in Pasadena.
Or that Eddie Brown hadn't blown his assignment and been back there with Rod.Rod Perry was great and appreciated you sharing your great encounter. As to the Super Bowl the only thing I ever wished for Rod Perry is that he was just one inch taller.
It was Eddie Brown who George Allen had brought over back in 78.Or that Eddie Brown hadn't blown his assignment and been back there with Rod.
Yeah .... Perry was listed at 5' 9" and Stallworth was about 6' 2".Nothing against Perry but every time I hear his name I picture Stallworth catching that pass behind him in the Super Bowl in Pasadena.
There is a difference between Genres. You can figure that out,but times are different SO yeah.I talk to myself more, but don’t always get the best advice.Paying for it today, then again the alcohol got to deep in the veins & noway out when I tried to listen to my better self. You talk with him ... Don't you?
Still my favorite Rams game/Super Bowl! This post reminds of how amazing the fan base is on ROD. Reading the comments, we all were reliving that Superbowl in our minds as we read the post. That moment was our "Wide Right" play of the game. That SB was so bittersweet and we still love Vince Ferragamo & company for nearly getting us to the top of the hill in Pasadena.
Wasn't that a bust...wasn't he supposed to have help in the middle?Nothing against Perry but every time I hear his name I picture Stallworth catching that pass behind him in the Super Bowl in Pasadena.
