The grabbing jersey technique was incredibly effective in protecting Wentz yesterday.
One of the young, loudmouth (I know, redundant) Eagles fans behind me was whining the WHOLE game about the refs and wanted holding called on virtually every down the Rams made any kind of decent gain. I said, "Dude! Honestly, watch what happens to 99 in white on almost every down he plays." After one series he said, "They're holding the freak out of him!" I said, "Yeah, you kinda of have to or he'll bury your QB! They all hold. A lot. Every team. The refs can't call all of the holding or the game would never move."

We outscored them 21-3 at one point. Sometimes I think our offense scores too quick. Which is fine with comebacks. But we don’t have a lot of 12 play drives. Our second half touchdown drive took 1:02 off the clock. That’s incredible, but almost too fast.

This team is going to be so good for a long time. Just imagine Goff with another year of experience with this offense. Kupp is going to ball for 10+ years.

I didn't give up, but I told myself if this continues a'll the way to the half that there is no way we come back. Even after adjustments. We would have been down 4 tds if it continued til the half. Luckily our D stepped up to keep it from beimg a blow out.

Last year I would of thrown the towel in before half .

This year's team can play with anyone. They have showed that they can consistently score and never be out of games. They have also showed that aa long as it is close at half they can make the adjustments needed.

This team plays great together and they need to keep them together.

Yeah, at that point i said something like we had to admit we were overmatched. Couldn't see how shit could change, but I still waited for it based on these guys doing that shit all season.

Everfreakingmostdefinitely not me.

At the half time, and you think about the half time adjustments but even before that, the defense was starting to look like they may have a chance.

I just knew this game was going to be close. Even though we weren't getting the sacks, we were getting the hits, and their quarterback was still tucking and running like a half back and I was thinking, dear god yes, this could be the game they really rattle him.

Now in no way was I thinking ACL injury, but you should have seen the murderous rage in my eyes while yelling "HIT HIM" as I was hoping for a Carson Wentz who began to contemplate the meaning of Life, the Universe and Everything while being chased by our defensive line, throwing interceptions and completely falling apart in tears along the sideline if for no other reason than to put these stupid quarterback comparisons to rest. That did not happen, instead watching Nick Foles come in off the bench and beat us made baby Jesus cry.

Could you hear it?

it wasn't over for me at 21-7...in fact it was just the beginning...of me being fkn pissed off that we get scored on so easily.

I was definitely getting annoyed and losing patience with the way the end of the first half was going. I was about ready to skip the second half and rewatch it on Gamepass when I decided to check the score one last time. That was when I realized they scored right after halftime and said maybe I will finish the game after all. Lol.

Nope.... The Mrs. turned to me and said this is real bad... my response was...not Just yet. Knew there was tons of time. Add to that what I saw in past games this season. Like the Skins and Texans game where things went slow...

Honestly no. I was all game until after the last pump and realized we only had 7 seconds left...... FUCK!!!!!

Count me among those who thought we still had a chance down 21-7.

And when we blocked the punt to go up 28-24, I screamed “YEAH MUTHAFUCKAS!!” so loud I nearly scared the neighbors. I thought we had the game in the bag.

And now, a part of me is still convinced that when I wake up tomorrow I’ll realize it was just a bad dream and the Rams actually won. But that’s another story....

Ok, I admit it. I was petulant and miserable and had to give myself a time out. Lol
Couldnt move the ball, Philly just marched down the field on us.
I thought for sure it was going to be a whoopin
Then the McVay Rams showed up, not the mess of a franchise we've watched for the last 10+ years.
Sucks to lose, but I'll be dammed if I give up on this team again

Nope, I was anxious that we get the next score otherwise it would have been over though.

Great game to watch but disappointing result.

On to the next one

Me.

I was in the game thread drafting a rangy post about mirages and other similar metaphors for the season.

But then I checked myself and didn’t post it

I love how when they are down, not on this board, but on FB there will be the goofballs hating on everything like they have all the answers, should have done this, should have done that. Then the Rams come back and take the lead. Lost, of course, but the crazy fans sure come out of the woodwork when the score is 21-7 in favor of the Eagles.
