Can anyone tell me how this works? If you hit a receiver the hard in the chest as he turns up field, you're flagged for hitting a defenseless receiver. When Harkey turned up field, that idiot Buc almost ends his career by hitting him on the knee and no flag! What's the difference. That could have wasted his knee. That hit could have been much worse than knocking the wind out of someone.

Not to worry. By 2016, you'll only be able to tackle between the numbers and the belt.

Totally agree - that guy needs a bounty placed in his head
Hope we meet in the NFC Championship game so we can settle the score

Thank God his leg wasn't planted or that would have been a horrific dislocation.... right on the knee. Ridiculous that we get flagged for roughing the passer on a shitty call and they call nothing on that.

I can't remember even who it was now but one of the TV talking heads made a good point the other day saying that with the rules the way they are now that tacklers are going to be going lower and you will likely see more of this kind of thing...low hits. Lower body injury will rise as tacklers are now avoiding the flags that come with high hits. It's sort of Newtonian (equal in opposite reaction). Pushing the rules one way causes something on the other side to compensate.

Dirty play - It could have been a career ender if his foot was planted. But I see your point too X, it's not a tennis match.

TJ's tackle on Evans was textbook. He came in like a missile and blasted him right on the hip. Beautiful. My favorite part was watching Evans first look for a flag, then sulk to the sideline like someone stole his lunch money

That's only a last resort if both of his flags have fallen off without being pulled.

On the reals though, yeah... That was a real dirty fucking hit. If Harkey would've been seriously hurt I could see Fisher pushing for a suspension.

What about the hit with the crown of the helmet to a defenseless Tavon's head? That should earn a $25000 fine from the NFL even though the refs were blind to it.

I was screaming for a flag there...almost threw an elbow at the guy behind me who kept telling Myer to sit down and quit whining

I AGREE!!!!!

Sidenote: Harkey is a freaking Semi-truck load.

Him coming at you is sort of like...

I was surprised that Harkey came back into the game you could see the hyper extension, I hope they revise the calls as this imo is as bad as or worse that the hit Polamalu was flagged for Thursday night.

Hopefully there isn't damage that shows up tomorrow

Goldson has always had trouble with the new rules, and I don't find it surprising that he went for the knee, either.
