I don't like being a fan that speculates about player acquisitions. Would rather wait for a legit-insider-report.
That being said, let me now speculate about a player acquisition. I hate myself.
The Rams are reported (Spotrac, Over-the-Cap) to have about $7M of cap space right now. They only need about $2M for their draft-class. Donald and Kupp currently count for $45M-plus of the Rams' 2022 salary cap. Both are expected to get new deals that should lower their 2022 cap-hit to the Rams.
Where are the Rams planning to spend the $?
The Giants need cap-relief. They also have about $7M of cap space. However, New York also has two choices in the top-seven, and five draft choices in the top-81. The Giants need more then $16M for their draft-class! There is a lot of talk here in NYC that they want to move James Bradberry; and it's mostly about needing cap-relief.
Personally, I would much prefer Bradberry to Stephon Gilmore. Bradberry has missed five games in six years. Gilmore has missed fourteen games in the past two seasons, and is three years older.
