Well, at least we don't have to worry about Bosa going up against McClendon. Still scary though. Hopefully the middle of the line is as healthy as they can be this time of year and stop that sieve finally.

Didn’t know where else to put this… but McClendon has not been a problem.

People on here know waaaay more than me… has anyone really focused on him?

McClendon has been outstanding subbing in. I think he has a real future as a right tackle in this league, especially with Havenstein being a free agent. Not much real pressure except from the interior, and like Flatlyner said, I put that more on Shelton. Our center and guard depth is a real weakness that I hope we fix next draft.

Also? Fuck the fucking Eagles, I hate that fucking team so much.

Yep, I am starting to think they may not have to draft a RT high next year. Draft an OT at some point for depth, but maybe not in rd 1 or 2. That would be nice if they do in fact have to burn an extra pick or two on a QB.

It's important to remember that players CAN be developed.. it doesn't always work out.. but it seems to be working out here. He certainly seems to be approaching at least a league-average starter at the position.. which would be a huge win.

High quality OT would be very high on my list. Hav is ancient. Jackson is a bit of an unknown due to the bloodclots, as they could derail him at any time. And I wouldn't want to rely on McClendon at LT, he's potentially an answer on the right side but we need more looks at him to know for sure. Defenses tend to focus in on depth types and make things harder on them the more they play, as they sort their weaknesses and gameplan for them.

So if we go get a high quality kid with good feet who might have a chance to play on the left, then you can start him out on the right side if you need to in his rook season or just sit him and let him learn as the left side backup. Having the quality on the depth chart would be a very high priority for me. If we want to get the most from Stafford in his last couple years we need good pieces in front of him.

OT is also a position where sure you can find good ones later than round 1 but the best place to find them is round 1. So it's a lot like QB. Way things look right now I'd go OT & QB with those round 1 picks assuming quality is there, then draft a couple corners in rounds 2 and later. But I won't complain if they go OT and CB in round 1. QB is definitely going to be on the list, just comes down to which dude they like of those guys who go outside the top ten.
