We did not have a defense we could trust. The points was the smarter move. I love McVay but sometimes he outsmarts himself. Like when its first and goal inside the 5 and he calls 4 straight pass plays.
No doubt!!!

But we did win the game. Had we kicked a FG in that spot it's 20-7 and if everything else happened the way it did afterwards, we're still down at the end but only need a FG. Of course just like time travel, nobody can say, "if things happened this way instead, everything else would have happened the same". So who knows? As far as time travel, I don't need that as we won the fooking game anyway!!! :laugh4:

Remember the 2023 Ravens game we opened with 9 straight Kyren runs they could not stop? Got inside the 10 and called 3 straight pass plays. Had to settle for 3.

But you are leaving out the momentum bumb the Panthers got after they fumbled they held us to no points. It is a huge lift.
I think McVay gets impatient with the offense. They were forced to punt and then couldn't take advantage of the muffed punt so he went for it. Not because of analytics, but because he couldn't stand to settle.

He turns into a gambler on a loosing streak at the blackjack table. he increases his bet hopping to turn a loosing streak around instead of recognizing he should bet the minimum and maybe the dealer will take a break.

If we're going to agree they got a huge lift from stopping us with no points, I'd submit they would have still had a momentum bump by holding us to 3 after muffing the punt. And they probably would have had the ball closer to our end zone than their 19 on a kickoff. We can "if" and "but" all day and in the end, we still won the fooking game!!! :laugh4:

I like McVay gambling. Gamble away. With #9 and his offensive crew, #95 (maybe #99) and their defensive crew, gamble all you want!!! And doesn't the term "all in" come from gambling?

That's fine, I just don't want Dan Cambel.
