The goal was the problem. We had great field position with 140 and 2 time outs. You already fail if you don't set your goal as 7 points

He didn't want to give them the ball back with them starting the second half with possession. So the goal was burning all the clock and getting points if possible. Mission accomplished (strategically speaking of course).
