I would think establishing the run could help the o-line get into a groove that way. Unless McVay just doesn't believe in them and all these short passes are supposed to be a substitute for the run.

Either way I just don't want to see Goff drop back 60 times today. Cringing at some of the hits he's taking.

We need a deep threat as mentioned earlier ... all those short routes are too easy to defend and trying the play action when we aren’t running it .... we are getting a tad predictable need to shake things up lads
