I have discovered the modern air fryer culinary device and must admit that the ready availability of good fries without as much fat in them has led to all manner of radical french-fry-related shithousery in my kitchen.

But yeah I'll agree smothering them in shit is poor fry behavior. Unless it's with some spicy home made chili. :laugh2:

I have as well.
I rarely if ever order fries out when I can easily do whatever I want now ....... without using old oil that's cooked literally everything else on the menu prior to my fries. You also have the choice of using Yukon, Red or even Russett potatoes, which actually make some great fries.

Settled in for pizza Thursday....the place is still a debate.

Friday night "Rasta Pasta" never had it but I learned of it and it sounds incredible.

Fries are meant to be eaten with the fingers and dipped in something like catsup or ranch - not with a fork after being covered with crap. And CERTAINLY not in a sandwich! Disgusting! #justsaynotosoggyslimyfries
Fries are versatile my guy!! I make a mean Pollo saltado and the fries SLAP in that dish.

Austin Powers Get In My Belly GIF by Chris Cimino
Yep, that is pretty much the only time I fry food, haha. I always have to make extra because I crush those things as I make em. The homemade aji sauce on them is next level.

Going to have bratwursts, and one of my two little sister's possibly bringing over oyakodon (chicken/egg/onion rice bowl that's common in Japan; she cooks it because it's easy to make and she's actually a really good cook). My other little sister is also coming over at the same time.

Going to be a fun night on Thursday.

How about a recipe with lemons in honor of drafting Makai Lemon?

I think my son and I are going to do crispy pork belly and then mango and sticky rice for desert. Not because of the draft - just because. It's not like I'm wanting to cook anything that goes with Pittsburgh. Hard pass there.

We have three different types of pork belly we're trying out - a BBQ version that we will smoke and then sear, one Chinese style, and one that is sort of a spicy Asian style I came up with. I'll try to remember to take pictures.

I'll be making a corn dog in the microwave. Hope I don't tear the corn dog this time. Might wrap it in a wet paper towel and nuke it in 15 second intervals to try and prevent it. Maybe some Hormel canned chili beans to go with it. Nuked as well.

Corn dogs are absolutely awesome. I particularly love the mini ones; I used to eat them by the box at one point in my life (when I was younger).

I liked the ones with the cheese on the inside. Also, the pancake and sausage corndogs are probably mostly to blame for me being overweight. I can't have those no more.

Pancake and sausage corndogs are delicious; I'm sorry you can't have them anymore (and technically with some form of diabetes, I can't really have them anymore either). Not much of a fan of stuff with cheese in the center; I'm very particular about the cheese not being artificial, whether that's on a burger (usually only order Swiss or cheddar and only eat American at places where it is the only thing to be served) or a Philly cheesesteak (can't be Cheese-Wiz; that doesn't agree with me at all), or really anything that I like.

Don't get me wrong; most types of cheese are those I love! I just have issues with fake cheese.

But I digress: corndogs are fucking awesome.
