Yeah, but all the kids that are real athletes ditch soccer at some point. Its great that kids run around and all vs playing video games and a bag of chips. But its still soccer with no use of your hands.
 
Surely the fact you don’t use your hands (unless you’re a keeper) makes the game more difficult and thus harder to master?

Belgium vs Spain about to start. Looking at these teams it seems like Spain is the best bet to upset the French. So vamos Espana.

I can't believe I let myself get caught up in the World Cup bullshit just to watch this team embarrass the fuck out of themselves on the biggest stage. No heart, no resilience, no guts, no fight. Score could of, should of been 6 or 7 to zero. Won't get fooled again 4 years from now, never again. Real, American football going forward.

To each his own but even though I’m not what you’d call a soccer fan, I will always be in team USA’s corner.

BTW… seems like odd sentiment for a Rams fan after all we’ve been through for the past many years.

This was the best performance we've seen in years from our team. I appreciate that. Also maybe we start seeing some young talent from the MLS academies filter into the team in the near future. Would be nice to see us unearth a real talent that is a red blooded American (meaning born here in the US). Someone who can anchor that team for years and start some real runs for us to enjoy.

Academies starting to grow and produce more talent is the only way we'll exceed what we saw this tourney and really hope it happens.

Team USA didn't have the talent to stay with Belgum. Had nothing to do with heart.

Argentina plays down to the competition... struggles to a tie for almost the entirety of the game.... then pulls a rabbit out of the hat with almost no time left.... FOR THE THIRD TIME IN A ROW

Cape Verde then Egypt then Switzerland... wow!!
