I said all week i though weddle would be an X factor an unsung hero and I believe he was quietly one. He was pretty excellent and didn't get run over as we usually do. Collectively though this was the epitome of we not me. To many contributed to award individual honors. Just so happy man.

Good thing we have an owner with extra deep pockets because with all our injuries & IR'd players throughout the season, McVay had to promote a lot of practice squad players & Snead pilfered some other guys with quality trades or as free agents, ... and all this likely means several extra Super Bowl rings will need be made following Super Bowl Sunday's big win.

Weddle - from couch to starting SS playing 100% of snaps w/ major contributions. Shored up a very weak spot in our D. We really wouldn't have won the games we did without the Beard.
Kupp - unbelievable. no words for CK10. another Beard. 2a: OBJ. can't say enough about a guy who just joins a team & makes major contributions. plus.... Beard.
Stafford - takes off for a run to get a critical 3rd down. Battled all game. Got beat up all to heck. Tough, resilient, and in the biggest moments has risen to the occasion. No Beard, but tougher than nails.

Then, this isn't a game ball, but I've been beating this drum since last year's draft: the biggest, most glaring hole we had on this team was at CENTER. Allen has more than risen to the occasion, and I can't be happier that he has. Sure, I woulda liked to have the C that the Chiefs drafted instead of a small WR who's sitting on the bench, but so thankful we have a guy who stood in the gap & overperformed beyond expectations. Getting rid of Blythe was addition by subtraction - he was a huge liability last year. So many missed blocks.
That said, one of the major responsibilities of a Center is to call protections. With Stafford calling them, that's no longer a problem & our C can be more athletic & just focus on getting his blocks done. Maybe Allen can take over with more tutelage from Stafford, but I always thought Goff was better when we had Sullivan, who called them & could reduce the processing load on Goff. When he left, Goff's bandwidth just wasn't wide enough for him to do it all.
Anyway, IMHO we wouldn't be here without Allen stepping up & getting better & stronger during the offseason. Great job, kid.

After re-watching the game, Weddle ,may have saved our season early in the 4th quarter. The Crybabies had a 2nd and 1 and Weddle blew up their run for a 2 yard loss to make it 3rd and 3. The Rams blew up their third down and. Mcvay challenged the fumble and lost the challenge but that play by Weddle was HUGE looking back now., We got the tying FG after that stop.

Of course, Tartt could also have the game ball for dropping what could have been a damaging INT.

They brought him in to improve comms and consistency and he's done that. We have a much better QB than Crappolo up next though so these guys gotta be sharp in showing that young gun all the wrong looks pre-snap and coming out of that shit smooth and locked in.

Man I'm excited. This is going to be a looong two weeks. :clock:

That’s definitely a luxury problem. :D

Only 3!

Stafford

AD

Morris (yes, the DC). It was a masterful defensive game plan.

I still think something is wrong with his leg.

He kicked it short on that try.
He hit it fat. Replay appeared to show him hit the turf before driving through the ball. It's probably a mental mechanics issue of Gay trying to swing too hard from distance. Hopefully ST works with him to just swing through it normally.

You were right! Weddle came up big. He was huge against the run and may have led the team in tackles.

I gotta admit.. Maybe 3 is not enough, and it's a we factor.. I mean on the ending INT, it was caused (by my draft pick. lol @Tron ) Aaron Donald.... Gaines, Weddle, and others had a great/good game. How about Cam Akers? Dude was playing semi hurt and still banged it.

I think Donald deserves a game ball.

He gave a sideline speech and played like a madman. Dude left nothing in the tank. You could see it all game long.

Lots of deserving names mentioned.

The run D was incredible. They bullied us the last 2 games. They manned up tonight for sure.
Morris, for doing something no Ram DC has thought to do. Load up the box. Sell out to stop the run. It changed everything.
Scott for finally making Deebo pay. That mouthy prick! At least AD only had wet eyes. He didn't ball like a baby and need sympathy from the other team. What a chump. Anyway, Scott for playing safety the way it should be played.
OBJ, He really picked up the team after Woods went down. Got his 1st 100 yard game in 3 years and some really tough clutch catches with guys head hunting him.

Call me Captain obvious, but he would probably drop it.

The Rams defense allowed 28 yards on 12 plays for the last 3 69er drives (ending with an INT). Think about that. When the game was on the line it doesn’t get any better than 11 men as one contributing to a complete shutdown of an oppositions offense. Go Rams!!

I wonder who did get the game ball - or did they even do it with the trophy ceremony and all?

Mine are.....

Kuppbeast.. What a game he had. Wow

Mr. Scott.. Wow what a clean hit that was. It came at a great time. The Whiners were playing dirty/chippy. He sent a message I feel.

Blanton... What a game this kid had.. Maybe not as good as Higbee, but he stepped it up. God bless.

What a game my fellow Rams fans.. Wow..

Those would be my three as well Dag.
