Offensive Tackles: Carver Willis, 49ers (84.4) & Austin Blaske, Rams (80.9)

Fourth-round pick Carver Willis has the versatility to play both inside and outside. Allowing three hurries on 23 pass-blocking snaps wasn’t an ideal start, but his 90.1 PFF run-blocking grade was an encouraging sign.

The Rams already boast one of the league’s most well-rounded offensive lines, but Austin Blaske’s preseason is effectively an audition for a larger role next season, when several of Los Angeles’ offensive linemen are scheduled to hit free agency. Blaske split time between left tackle and left guard, allowing one pressure at tackle but otherwise looking comfortable at both spots.
I know nothing about Blaske.
Saw his PFF score and thought it was interesting. Figured he was a "try hard" with real physical limitations overperforming in preseason.

Nope. Guy is a legitimate athlete and has 33 inch arms.. I'm now INTRIGUED.....

HOW THE FUCK DID YOU GET THAT WORD THROUGH THE CENSORS?!

Commode. IS. COMMODE. HERE. AND HAS BEEN FOR WHATEVER REASON. HOW. HOW? HOW?!

(Apologies for losing my mind there. Just been dealing with the censors for fate knows how long.)

EDIT: AND IT'S STILL THERE?! HOW THE FUCK? DID YOU? GET PAST THE CENSORS?!
With apologies to our humorous group of jokers that run our board, I simply substituted a zero for the O
Not too clever, but just clever enough
Now here I go full rogue mode

I want to give you a ha ha but I don't quite get your thought process.
EQ nerd who played an enchanter. Being the old man casting spells on the larping field feels appropriate.

Okay - unfortunately I have never done any larping. Wouldn't mind doing it though. Too out of shape though.

And I would have to get a wig to look like that guy.

If you got a receding hairline guy, then that would be closer.

There is much to read & learn on this ex North Carolina OL'er. Loves to play center but if he can be our true Swing OT by the end of this season..... Baske is going to be very valuable to the Rams.

Reads similar to what was said about on our starting center Coleman Shelton... who started everywhere on the Washington OL.

Quietly an amazing draft pick IMO. Hopefully he pans out. Whenever Poona Ford went out, our run defence was way, way worse. Depth behind Ford was and is essential. Hopefully Keenan can provide that, another big run-stuffing DT that can hustle. It was a huge need this off-season, even if backups are not highest on the list of priorities when starting positions still need upgrades.
