I agree that Parkinson has greater value than Allen. The Rams are grooming Klare to become the 2027 Y-TE who could replace Parkinson if they don't resign him. We don't know if Higs will play out his 2-year contract as the other option. There are many possibilities by next offseason. There was a discussion of these in one of the threads. It's a balance of performance expectations and cap space. I asked Gemini what their worth would be in FA should they continue their respective playing levels. Cap space is always hard to figure out this far out. One big reason they drafted Klare was to save on future cap space.

Either way, he's impressed me a lot. If we cut him, he will be picked up. If we do cut him and someone picks him up, it'll just show how strong our roster is.

Well the connection is Parkisan,Allen & Higbee- they basically are the 13 personnel.
Allen is a better blocker & halfback type in it.Makes them hard to stop running or passing.
T. Ferg is getting those Reps,but he is more of a TE that lines up off tackle more.Yes in the slot in close as well,but now he is getting those ADDED REPS he other wise wouldn’t.

I agree with you on the dynamics of our TEs. I think they will be a special group in 13 personnel. I was just correcting the nickname from the 80s.... Bcuz I'm old.

Offensive Tackles: Carver Willis, 49ers (84.4) & Austin Blaske, Rams (80.9)​

Fourth-round pick Carver Willis has the versatility to play both inside and outside. Allowing three hurries on 23 pass-blocking snaps wasn’t an ideal start, but his 90.1 PFF run-blocking grade was an encouraging sign.

The Rams already boast one of the league’s most well-rounded offensive lines, but Austin Blaske’s preseason is effectively an audition for a larger role next season, when several of Los Angeles’ offensive linemen are scheduled to hit free agency. Blaske split time between left tackle and left guard, allowing one pressure at tackle but otherwise looking comfortable at both spots.

Anyone else wonder why Rivers was held out as if he's guaranteed a roster spot? I just read an article about a the battle between Hunter and Connors for the last spot and I have to wonder - why choose? I get that there is a trust factor with pass protection, but Hunter, Connors, and even Waters all seem way more athletic and I didn't notice any blatant pass protection mistakes against the Chiefs. Plus, it seems like Rivers and Waters would be the only ones we could cut and be confident they'd be available for the practice squad.

Rivers for sure wouldn’t get picked up by any team for their 53 man roster.
