Also Bart Scott and Cam Newton, FIRED! This shit just keeps getting better. Now for Perkins and McNutt, and Graziano. Keep this going ESPN, maybe toss SAS and Greenberg out the door as well.
Not a fan of SAS’s delivery but he does a pretty good job of backing up his takes. Greenberg has always been blah to me. I don’t enjoy his screen time.

Greenburg claimed the RAMS had "nine downs" at the end of Super Bowl LVI to score the winning TD. FUCK him and his J E T S.

If I was a network I'd hire Chris Long & Andrew Whitworth. Hands down, some of the best sports commentators in the 'net.
Whit is amazing. I like Long, IMO he excels as POD Caster. That format really fits his strengths and the way he engages guests. Once again just my opinion.

I am right there with you regarding Greenberg. Not a fan of his.

Greenberg attended Northwestern from 1985-1989. They were 11-31-2 during his time there. He's been a Jets fan his entire life and they won the SB when he was 2, so for the last 56 years of his life they haven't won dick. WTF does Mike Greenberg know about winning? He's been associated with losers....big time losers.....his entire life. Clearly, I could never stand him and his kind.....non-athletes talking about what it takes to be an athlete. One word comes to mind when I see Greenberg. Pussy.

There are a few words that come to mind when I see Greenberg. None are flattering. As lame as he is, ESPN just keeps giving him more and more screen time.

I used to love "Mike and Mike In the Morning" when Golic would expose him for how little of shit he actually knew. ESPN kept the wrong "Mike" imo.

Golic = Baldy.
They played the game and bring that experience to the mic.

I honestly can't believe anybody watches ESPN. Has to be 20 years since I have turned it on, unless it was for a live game. But I don't watch any sports talk, as I hear enough bad sports takes without it

It’s frustrating having so many talking heads nowadays with so little actual knowledge. The move away from “sports” to “entertainment” confuses the heck out of me and is just simply annoying.
I’m entertained by sports. I don’t need entertainers converted/brought into the sports world. Wrestling is a prime example - it’s not sports, it’s entertainment. Fine to have but not on ESPN.

The problem is they're going to replace them with people who are even worse at the job.

What's also frustrating is the hot takes / click bait. It reminds me of old time talk radio where every day prior to the show they'd roll the dice or play rock, paper, scissors to see who was going to be good cop or bad. In Philly it was WIP, Mike Missonelli, a local guy from Bristol, and his partner .... I don't remember who that was. Maybe Howard Eskin. They pick the most polarizing subject and put Eagles, Phillies, Flyers or Sixer fans through the paces. I could practically hear them laughing at the absurd people who called in to argue. Entertainment? Sure, I guess.

It's fun ... well for me ... I have no life ... to read different posters' opinions on various analysts and commentators. Some I strongly agree with but others, not so much.

I love the NFL, and consume so much of the available media coverage. When it's bad, I just look elsewhere. When it declines (my opinion) like Good Morning Football on the NFL Network (again, that's only my opinion) it's very disappointing because I personally lose a source of entertainment.

Never had a problem with Mike Greenberg. Think he does a good job hosting and managing a show, with many different contributors.

Biggest problem I have with Get Up is that it covers the same material and topics far too often, and ignores many interesting football issues. Worst ... By Far ... for me ... is the Show's incessant coverage of the Cowboys ... a team that has not gone to a Conference Championship game in three decades.

Among the recent ESPN layoffs ... never could watch or listen to Cam Newton. Thought he brought nothing to-the-table and was a clown ... and not because of his attire. Heck, that was the one thing I appreciated about Newton ... No False Advertising ... he WAS a Clown ... and ... he DRESSED like a Clown.

Ryan Clark had become a disappointment to me. To the point where I rarely wanted to hear his comments.
Thought Clark was really good for a couple years, providing player perspective in his own personal manner. I like that ... that's genuine. Clark became popular, got a new big contract and (IMO) changed. Thought he got cocky and lazy with his analysis, developed a "Schtick" in his delivery (that gets boring) and sometimes brought an agenda.

In one regard, Clark reminded me of Tony Romo. In that my initial impression was very positive but quick success brought a change in delivery. Romo (like Clark) got lazy. Now, I have no patience with him.

Now I do disagree with many here about Bart Scott. Hardly a favorite of mine but he also brought a player's perspective in his own genuine style. And I thought Scott's takes were often good. Not simply pro-Rams but solid. Good example came just last week on the Tuesday episode about the new Top-10 QBs.

With Stafford up to #3, Greenberg asked what QBs should be higher. Scott thought Stafford should be #1.
His comment, which I thought was perfect, was that a top-tier-ranking is not something a player owns but is something a player rents based on recent performance. And, after his 2025 season, Stafford should be #1.

That's when Dan Graziano replied. He disagreed ... and ... I AM OK WITH THAT ... but that's when Graziano said ... How could Stafford be ranked so high, when "He lost the two biggest games of the season".
That asinine comment made me Bad-Shit-Crazy!

From there, Graziano made several negative Stafford comments, and Mike Tannenbaum joined-in. OK.
They were mostly weak opinions and bad takes ... again, In My Opinion ... but they WERE opinions and takes.

So now what? Well for me, I will turn-on Get Up some mornings ... but not quite as often as in the past ... and, when I see Graziano and Tannenbaum sitting there but no Bart Scott ... well, unless there are a couple of analysts and commentators I respect, I am simply changing the dial.

It's a Lose-Lose. ESPN loses a viewer; and I lose a source of entertainment. All I am really trying to say is ... FUCK Dan Graziano and Mike Tannenbaum! But, some of my fellow ROD posters may like those guys.

Missanelli was on with Steve Fredricks back in the day. That's like 5 firings ago and 3 anger management courses for Missanelli.
