Okay and I also understand that Jones, who called the signals too is out, but come on, you should have others in place that can call the defensive signals. Weddle's going to start? That's just ludicrous IMHO and coaches need to be held accountable.

It's a desperation move no doubt about it. And that desperation stems from them ignoring the fact that they had one proper fit safety back there in Fuller surrounded by a bunch of meatheads.

Also I think they were alarmed at the comms after Fuller went out. Weddle's a smart safety and he's also a good leader. I think they probably needed someone that Ramsey wouldn't bitchslap when he gets corrected on how he's lined up.

This is on them though no doubt. They should have had another fucking FS on this roster.

Couldn't agree more and weddle probably will just overide Morris as he is as good as gone after whiners lolol. Weddle may be a liability physically or maybe well rested bit mentally sharp as a tack.

Weddle was bad in 2019. Not sure why - maybe it was the system, declining skills with age, something else, who knows. But I would be absolutely shocked if he is better this time around, pushing 40 and not having played in years. Perhaps they just want him on the sideline to assist with calls?

He's been around so long and has seen so much he won't have any problems handling Morris' checks. If there is one real advantage to Weddle it's the cerebral side. The dude is sharp.

Yeah, Snead really F'ed up trying to sneak Hughes on our practice squad at the end of the season. Not that he's been great but I'd trust him more than a multi-year retired player who was seriously on the decline before he retired. Weddle played in Phillips defense too so verbiage and scheme isn't even the same for him to jump into. So I can't see him calling plays with no time in the system.

When I saw Fuller go out that was the worst I felt that game because I knew it was going to be a serious issue if he is out. I'm getting heart burn just thinking about this now. bleh.

The Detroit move of signing Hughes now is a real ass kick. Detroit has no use for him and it’s not like he’ll be a starter for them next year. Holmes should release him so the Rams can get him back temporarily……unless the Rams don’t want him back.

So ridiculous.

I still remember his awful performance against the Whiners to finish off what was a bad year for him...and that was THREE years ago! This seems like a truly desperate move that doesn't have alot of upside.

Does this mean that Rapp is looking like he will be out? It is looking like the coaches won't have a choice, but to give Burgess a shot, which they sure haven't seemed like they wanted to do for the entire year.

The last 9ers TD drive was all they needed to see. That deep pass to Deebo where Nick Scott completely whiffed, and the miscommunication between Rapp and Scott resulting in a wide open TD pass in the middle of the field.
